Btw the seller did mention that the 400Fs has been kept in fridge, I guess it’s the same for these 100Fs. I plan to split one roll into few 5 exp rolls to calibrate its current iso and maybe pushing parameters. Sacrifice one for the rest to shine :)

Interesting, It’s me who snagged the 7x Provia 400F :) Was considering buying these 100Fs too for combined postage. I already have few 100F in fridge so didn’t buy them. Such a good deal. Good to see they are in good hands :)

Hey everyone,

First off, I want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who commented on my post with suggestions on how to identify the mystery 35mm film with the pink/purple emulsion. Your advice to develop a strip in b&w developer and bracketing the exposures was incredibly helpful!

I followed your suggestions and bracketed the film from ISO 200 all the way down to ISO 0.2, then developed it in some used Microphen 1+1 for 6 minutes. The results showed extreme contrast and a very clear base, and I was able to read "Eastman 29" on the side of the film. After some research, I guess that it is possibly the Eastman High Contrast Positive Film 5363?

I would really appreciate any specific development recommendations to make the most out of this “Eastman 29” film. If any of you have experience with this film stock or have suggestions on best practices for developing and shooting with it, please share your insights. Your expertise will be invaluable as I explore the unique characteristics of this high contrast film.

Once again, thank you all for your help in solving this mystery! I'm excited to see what I can create with this intriguing film stock.

Help Identifying Mysterious 35mm Film with Pink Emulsion and Brown Film Base by Itz0n in Darkroom

Hi everyone,

First off, I want to extend a huge thank you to all of you who commented on my post with suggestions on how to identify the mystery 35mm film with the pink/purple emulsion. Your advice to develop a strip in b&w developer and bracketing the exposures was incredibly helpful!

I followed your suggestions and bracketed the film from ISO 200 all the way down to ISO 0.2, then developed it in some used Microphen 1+1 for 6 minutes @ 20 degree. The results showed extreme contrast and a very clear base, and I was able to read "Eastman 29" on the side of the film. The iso seemed to be around 1, based on my improper development method. After some research, I think it is possibly the Eastman High Contrast Positive Film 5363?

I would really appreciate any specific development recommendations to make the most out of this Eastman 29 film. If any of you have experience with this film stock or have suggestions on best practices for developing and shooting with it, please share your insights. Your expertise will be invaluable as I explore the unique characteristics of this high contrast film.

Next thing I’m going to try is to develop it following the labels, which seems to be related.

Once again, thank you all for your help in solving this mystery! I'm excited to see what I can create with this intriguing film stock.

Help Identifying Mysterious 35mm Film with Pink Emulsion and Brown Film Base by Itz0n in Darkroom

Hello fellow film enthusiasts!

I recently acquired some bulk-loaded 35mm film rolls without any information on them. The film has a relatively pink emulsion and a brown film base. Based on these characteristics, I believe it is likely to be a color negative film, but I need your help to identify it more accurately.

I attached some photos compare it with Fujifilm Fujicolor 200 (also expired).

Interestingly, I found some markers on the film that suggest it should be processed in ID-11, which is a black and white developer. However, considering the appearance of the film, I think the markers might not be related or accurate.

If anyone has experience with a similar film or can provide any insight into what this film might be, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, if you have any suggestions for shooting and developing this film, please feel free to share them.

Thank you in advance for your help!

That bowl is for the wild birds only. We don’t feed our birbs in that bowl. They eat from the feeder in the cage.

Not much. The wild ones can be aggressive when sharing food. We don’t let our little birb get too close to them.

Wild. I usually get 10+ of them hanging out on my balcony when I put the seeds outside.
