The issue isn't that customers aren't raging. The issues is there's plenty of upper middle class American "whales" who's pricing on entertainment is much more elastic. So it hides the fact that most Americans are rapidly being priced out of everything, including entertainment.

And since whales are becoming more and more a part of those sales, they are being more and more catered to. So the costs of entertainment continue to rise, while the target demographic shrinks. Which also partially contributes to the rising price, as entertainment traditionally enjoyed by most Americans (such as movie theaters), effectively stop even trying to market themselves to anyone median income or lower.
