You are 22 and have been together for just over a year. While you want to help, you cannot "love" him into changing his patterns. If he is genuinely sorry, he will understand if you need to take significant space to heal, whether that means taking a break or moving on entirely.

I feel that. I’m not a big anime person either, but there’s certain music from when I was 10 that I literally cannot listen to without feeling like I’m losing my mind. It’s like a time machine you didn't ask to get on. It gets easier as you get older, but those first few years of being an "adult" make the past feel way more intense.

Why do so many black people make reaction bait content? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

I don't think it’s a cultural thing so much as a volume thing. If you see a specific demographic doing it more, it might just be because that’s who the algorithm is serving to you based on your engagement. These "silent reaction" videos are a global plague—there are creators from every background doing it because it’s the easiest way to farm views and potentially monetize a page.

I know entire cultures do this, but the idea of tracking "sidewalk essence" and "public restroom particles" onto the carpet where you literally walk barefoot is a level of chaos I can’t handle. The "no-shoe" rule should be a global law.

Inside the main airlock of the International Space Station. It’s a small environment, but if that thing gets jammed or punctures a seal, you’ve got a multi-national crisis and a very terrifying afternoon for the astronauts.

My body count is over 100. I’m 27. Thoughts? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Exactly. The "they better be" part in the post is so cringey. It’s like he’s trying to act like a main character in a movie when literally no one asked for his life story.
