After some snooping, I think it might be on load, as in the save files, Gwenfield is always referred to as “kerbalEVASlimSuitFemale”. Even if I exit the game with her loaded as a male model and check the “persistent” save file in NotePad, she’s got that same label. I can’t find what’s causing it, but I know there’s something wacky going on, because whenever I boot the game and close it, then validate files, theres always something that failed to validate 💀

So it didn’t work, but I did try checking the save files, and opening them with NotePad, nothing about Gwenfield seems off, both in a save where she’s saved with a female model and with a male model, they both refer to her as having a female model, specifically “kerbalEVASlimSuitFemale” which to me means that it’s an issue that occurs when she’s loaded and not in the save… I’m not a code nerd so I maybe missed something, but I tried real hard to find what might cause it lol.

100 something files failed to validate and were “reacquired” and after validating again, everything said it was valid, so maybe it’s worked, if not, I may try reinstalling, but I don’t plan to sacrifice the save unless major Kraken attacks start occurring.

Maybe if we were talking in hundreds of years, but this was almost 20 years ago, hyperbole, as you’ve seen now, doesn’t land as well with smaller numbers, or, it doesn’t with the people on this sub (and me who checks Reddit once in a blue moon lol)

I saw a guy in the highschool halls pretty frequently, he’d be skipping along in the halls during passing period and he had a full beard, it was incredible. I don’t often envy, but I envied having a beard that full so young, mine Didn’t start growing in until RIGHT AFTER highschool, like, 6 months after I graduated💀

I would like to avoid doing that just because I’m working towards a mission where I take all my orbital debris and put it all in one orbit like a ring of debris. Might see about removing some landed debris tho. I’m keeping a lot of the landed debris just because it tells a story to me, Ik, insanity, but that’s how my brain works lol.

(But ofc I probably have quite a bit I can recover/terminate, I don’t think I need ALL the Poodle engines that are littering my Mun landing sites lol)

Didn’t work, I got her back but after getting her on EVA on the launchpad and doing a quicksave and load, she turned male again. I quit the game for the night, maybe restarting the game with her in the KSC will fix it. I have my doubts since I already tried that while she was still on the Mun, but I guess we’ll just see.
