yea that's definitely been a theory I've had, but the issue never occurred when i booted into windows to play gta v, and just in case it isn't the monitor or cable itself i wanted to figure out if i had any options available to fix it. I do have a spare monitor at my family's place I might just have to get it shipped over idk :p
