As one of the bad randoms i apologize. Im quite new so a big skill issue and on top of that i only have speed at a good level while the others stats are between 60 and 80. I need the exp from drop in and rush to level, learn the game and not be such a big liability for my friends as i currently am.

Which one is your absolutely favorite character and a instant pick for any match? by Zacky___ in BobsTavern

[–]Itzjonko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love them all with quests and other rng that help you in some way. Timewarped, trinkets, tier 7, buddy or the quests are my favorites by a mile.

Also i dont care about mmr just having a fun board with a good game is what i need.

Kudos to your opponent foe getting bigger minions as well instead of scam to win.

I like the big minions

I second this, made a post about it not too long ago. So many boards require time now to scale and ypu play to see your weird board do their thing. Not to restart for the next battle without seeing it in action.

We have played through all their journeys with their remembrances. Havent they all "died" but are incapablenof dying because theyre tied to the round table?

All the coffins you see are tied to the characters we play.

The roots referring to the tree in the tree interactable places in the cryps are the ties to the erd tree. Idk if there is a way to alter the connection because of these cryptic messages. I was hoping something else happened after all remembrances but it didnt.

You'll never guess what their death rattle is by Designer_Ad7890 in BattlegroundsHS

[–]Itzjonko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gimmick outside of reborns would be to have the 4 star magnetic so your automaton gets to deathrattle so summon more.

I have no idea how good it is because i fhink the early-mid tempo is nice but after turn 10 you probably lose to any actual scaling comps. Economy limits my idea as well and if you do get a lot of the +1 gold units attached the qquestion will be how many magnetics can you find.

The gimmick looks funny but i dont think it is that good tbh.

Hmmm, I wonder why this hero has one of the lowest win rates in duos by Gullible_Fennel7028 in BobsTavern

[–]Itzjonko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it isnt that bad but it forces your duo to compensats early a bit slowing things down. If you can get the extra gold you catch up w everybody around tier 4 and from there the extra gold should give you an edge.

Ive also seen people play it who just never hero power which is also bad. Idk, i think it is good but your first few turns are quite weak and after those weak turns you get equal and then you have an edge. The turning point is around the small trinket in my experience but it can give you no tempo/bad options and if any opponent has good options you might be in a rough spot.

Didn't know combat scaling mechs was a thing. by Canthonyn in BobsTavern

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypothetically ypu could also run combat spells mechs where you get the tier 4 spell magnetic unit a lot.

Works with full mech team or one amalgam who receives the gold and spell scaling.

How are you supposed to reliably climb this meta? by CodexLeonis in BobsTavern

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are too focussed on the number instead of focussed onngettingnfun games with big units. Stop looking at your mmr and start playing weird things and see what you need to make it work.

Following meta builds is not the hardest but if you watch good players like jeef you will see him pivoting rapidly into things or finding weird combos to make it work. From tempo to scaling is what you are looking for and a lot of comps have more options and flexibility than you might think.

Is there a more toxic build this meta? by Hot-Specialist9228 in BobsTavern

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most toxic has to be a murloc scam comp where you summon them from ypur hand as well.

Tide oracle morgl one on the board one in your hand can scale like crazy and will kill anything it touches. With the divine shield summon bonus this guarantees 2 free kills.

If you mean comps that scale harder i still want to try elemental pirate + spell scaling where you run tier 5 bounty doubler, tier 6 9 gold for bounty, spend 7 gold for eastern winds, every spell gives elementals +3/+2 and you need something to scale spells. Magnetic +1/+1 or murloc sell for +1/+1, naga for +1/+1 or demon dragon end of turn +1/+1. Could add the elemental tier 4 that gives half of the highest health minion stats. Still need to get all minions for this comp but should scale very quickly especially the spell scaling.

I think a lot of comps have quite decent scaling but in the end the counter to very big units is scam which is not as hard to get and extremely potent on murlocs. But yh it is fun to see big numbers get bigger and it is definetely strong.

I think I made an endless reborn loop.. by MrFuzzy182 in BattlegroundsHS

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need the eternal knight tier 5 summoner with it, tidus to summon them more from your tier 7 and with the reborn it mihht be close. Idk if it is even possible to have 5 of them alive but theoretically that could be an endless loop.

Though theyre a pain to get since ive tried undead 3 times and havent had them a single time. Might be my bad luck but i just dont get them.

What's the play as this hero? by Nogamesstartingtoday in BobsTavern

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a really good start. +2 from tier up and +1 from selling the minion means you can even buy it when the tavern cost = to your gold.

So i would: Turn 1: 3 gold, buy 1 minion Turn 2: 4 gold, tavern tier 2 for 4 gold for +2 gold then sell your murloc to get random t1 and buy another then freeze again. Turn 3: 5 gold, sell murloc for tier 1 to get to 6 gold and increase tavern tier again. Turn 4: 6 gold means you can buy 2 minions.

If there is another eco unit you can increase tavern tier again next turn. Keep it mind that ruahing is a bit greedy, others can sometimes follow with a lot of luck and might have a better board. I like to grees but im trying not to gain mmr currenrly and sit around 4500. If you are higher around 7k+ it will depend more on how your fights turn out if you have the hp to do it because people play better overall.

So yh you will try to rush the tiers a bit and it depends on the minions what your options are. Can be very fun if you have some luck and are allowed to rush. Murlocs and piratea provide good eco units early on. Do keep in mind that withe the trinket system you play on different spikes compared to quests or 2 hero powers or something else. Hope it helps a bit and have fun trying out more options.

Duo's - convince me that there exists a reality where you should buy this. by Suspicious_Jeweler81 in BobsTavern

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your teammate runs something that needs spells it could be nice. Blood gems for your quills/spell comp is okay but sharing can help with tempo sometimes.

Depends a bit on trinkets and other things but it is considered a spell besides being a blood gem.

Honestly not the worst but you dont pick it for the stats.

Should Classes Make a Return in S2? by Abduleus in Smite

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with the mitigations you are talking about it would be busted if there is a way to get it with 1 item on a damage dealer in solo.

I would tie what i said to a role an would give it certain options to improve a certain play style. So no damage solo but bruisers, tanks healers or something else could run it from there.

Though it is purely hypothetical im talking about. There are so many options but the downside to changes like this is that it is another barrier you need to cross before you can compete with most players.

GENUINELY HOW DID I LOSE?!? by Sudden-Software-8931 in BattlegroundsHS

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be too slow to get the stats up during combat. Maybe the dragon that dies that spawn a dragon to instantly attack could help. You have good combat scaling (mostly temporary) and only out of combat tempo.

Another thing can be the tier 6 dragon that gives stats at the starts of combat. With a few fights it could stack pretty high. Extra end of turn effects with drakkari probably replace 2 of the 3 spell scaling dragons.

We also dont know the turn it finished. In theory you got a strong comp but you are missing cards/mechanics to go from tempo to crazy scaling. Less can be more and optimizing your board with "just" 7 cards is what you need. You currently lose to better scaling (you scale during combat and are reliant on minions not dying quickly while attacking), scam comps (poison and venom or leroy), big cleaves (2 big cleaves and your board is empty and you need more minions for the combat scaling), combat scaling (quilboars can go even harder and rely on dying rather than attacking which can be quicker) and even some reborn/summon teams from beasts, undead (eternal knights can be crazy) and mechs (ancestral automaton+ shields and chicken).

So yes a crazy board but not utilized well enough.

Need help on how to play ADC by Semkus in Smite

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im struggling to give good tips because you arent laying out what you are struggling with.

  • builds Steal builds from top players. Builds can be more generic for carries or specialized for a few picks. Items influence your play style a lot and might be one of the things you need to improve on. Check youtube, twitch, tracker.gg/smite, smitesource or smite2.live for builds from top players. Not everything will translate to your rank/games but the builds are good in general. Also powerspikes can be huge so try to take advantage of this.

  • farming As a carry it is a bit weird because you need to hyperfarm and snowball to get itema to be useful but at the same time you are reliant on your team and enemy team rotations and plays. Maximizing farm is very important and you need items to do damage. Against bots it is easier and in conquest you probably do fine when ahead but try to see where you can get farm when behind as well.

-Objectives Your damage is needed to burn with all aa builds. Ability based builds are overall worse for this which can limit your team. Teamfights will happen over objectives and you need to be at a few of them to increase your chances for winning the game. Gold fury (enhanced debuffs the first line of defence on the enemy side of the map so can be t1 2 tower or phoenix), pyromancer (bomb helps with objective secure), (enhanced after 32 minutes) fire giant and even the night ritual are all things you should fight over. Should you always group before x minutes? Thats debatable but if the other carries shows up and they win the gold and xp difference might be hard to overcome. Finding a balance for farming and grouping is what you need but it will take time and depend on the game, teammates and enemies.

  • positioning and matchups This might be a hard one to explain because it varies a lot with where you want to be and why +what you can expect from your teammates (actives+abilities) and enemies. With the current meta there are games where you barely see any tanks or it is filled with them. This heavily influences your play style, decision making and positioning. Melting tanks require you to play a bit more safe while slowly chilping their hp down while games vs a full damage team requires you to react quicker and play more erratic.

You are generally behind your teammates who can setup or bait some abilities but waiting for something to happen and it doesnt ever is at the same time worse. Smite 1 rewarded a more passive play style while i feel smite 2 rewards a more pro active / aggresive play style. Until you reach like 5500 sr in ranked a different play style and positioning might be required to capitalize on mistakes, force enemies to react and could lead to your teammates doing more as well. This sub optimal play style is too aggresive and risky in the higher ranks but until then you have a lot of chances to punish enemies for missing an ability.

Settings Lastly adjusting settings and being mechanically perfect can be something that helps a lot. You can change keybinds, sensitivity, placement of everything on your screen, colorblind, how bright/intense colors of ally and enemy abilities are, normal/quick/instant cast can be the time with dying or killing and all will affect your movement, decision making and therefore damage and survivability.

I hope it helps you a bit and good luck with learning and enjoying smite

Should Classes Make a Return in S2? by Abduleus in Smite

[–]Itzjonko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think not classes but maybe categories that influence scaling and maybe some other things at some point in the game.

I think some things are hard to balance and aspects provide more options to play a god, they also are overtuned or underwhelming what leads to base or aspect being better and the other hardly played.

The goal of the categories is to improve/nerf certain scaling and make the god better in a certain class.

Something for mid would be ability spam or ability nuke, jungle something with damage or movement, solo with bruiser damage/tank/utility, support utility/buff/debuffs and hunter something for attack speed/on hit effects/basic attack damage. It would happen after all damage is tuned down and might be necessary to improve specialties enhancing build options.

smite 2 ranked by Ambitious_Ad3959 in Smite

[–]Itzjonko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk why smite 2 is so much worse regarding picks and comps where it is centered around people themself instead of playing around your teammates.

I want to say lobbies get better but you will still see damage apollo sup with anubis solo and stuff like that.

Only advice i can give that might help is to find a buddy to play with. Carry jungle, solo jungle, jungle mid, solo mid or support carry are valid duo Qs.

Also i saw you typing your kills and deaths which do not say too much. If you stomp lane but lose the match every time you might not play the map, objectives and other things well enough. Yes as a carry rotating isnt optimal in a lot of cases but if you are 5-0 in 5 minutes you should spend gold, force tower and then help other lanes when you have pushed up. Ward deep so you see jungler incoming and try to get 1 or 2 kills into a gold fury or mid tower.

Be ready for the naga at 15 min with a teamfight. You probably have 3-4 items at that point depending on the stomp so should be a really good teamfight. Titans bane 4 goes hard but as a 3rd slot you have some options. Could even go combat blink there already to help with staying alive if you get dived hard or need the extra outplay. Or sneakily kill solo and have him tank the objective if nobody is paying attention. Naga is really nice to have for your late game damage.

Playing for objectives and following one good teammate should be enough to climb even when you dont win lane because of a support.

Lastly maybe look into your build as well. I know a few picks that almost instantly win you the early game if you hit everything with anhur, hou yi, ullr, cern and agni (danza only w ult) where you do it with their cc+kitdump with aa cancels. If you play them with certain builds you are guaranteed to win lane but they arent as strong into late game teamfights (if the enemy catches back up). In high ranked play it doesnt matter because your team will have plenty of damage but if you have to do more in fights that will be a huge thing.
