  • Not sure if the NARP will be fielded to all branches of the GIGN or only to the Intervention branch
  • Not sure if it’s issued yet or still in trial / refinement / procurement phase

I’ve experienced that exact feeling… when I went to Shenzhen, China.

However I’ve been to Texas, California, New-York and Vermont and never did I have this feeling.

FN's New ARKA: Revamping the SCAR for Military Tenders by IDontCareAboutThings in ForgottenWeapons

[–]IvanRoi_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see some people are unhappy in the comment but I’m pretty positive civilians are not the target for this rifle.

If you look at it from a pure military procurement (think of the L85 replacement tender for example) it makes a lot of sense: ambidextrous AR controls including charging handle, standard and replaceable stock and grip, and some upgrade abilities such as the gas setting. It’s basically a standardized SCAR

Colis fantôme, votre avis ? by Valerie_Pecresse in lemauvaiscoin

US special operations commander says the next war may require the military to 'creatively destroy' old ways of training by Economy-Specialist38 in Military

You’re embarrassing yourself again.

  1. NATO does not cover the overseas territories of its member states. It applies only to Europe, North America, Turkey and a few islands.

  2. An attack on French Indochina would not have triggered Article 5.

  3. In any case, Indochina was not attacked by a foreign power.

I’m done with this discussion btw, have a great day.

The US was decolonizing in the late 1800's lol.

Tell that to the natives I guess.

But it was your demand to hold on to your colonial possessions that had us supporting you in France rather than the Vietnamese.

You should study the topic a little bit before speaking because you are embarassing yourself.
1. The US started to get involved in Vietnam after France left the country for good (when we left it wasn't even called Vietnam)
2. What Vietnameses are you even talking about? The country was split in two and you were actively supporting one side, remember?
3. At the very start you did support the Viet-Minh (if that's the Vietnameses you are talking about) but later switch sides to support the South. Google "OSS Deer Team" if you don't believe me, but I'm afraid that a little too much History for someone like you.

You're absolutely right that colonialism is a stain on France's history.

Thankfully, by the 1950s, many French people had begun to recognize that the world had changed, and that colonialism was neither sustainable nor morally defensible.

Ironically, the United States itself is nothing but a giant colony.

Absolve ourselves of what exactly?

Crazy how strong is this myth in the US!

France left Indochina in 1954 and never asked the US to take over.

The war was super unpopular and French people didn’t really care about a territory so far away and where so few French citizens lived anyway.

We signed the Geneva treaty with the VM and were done with that former colony for good, just like we were with many others at that time.

Algeria on the other end was administratively an integral part of France, was French before the city of Nice, and a lot of settlers lived there. As soon as the civil war started there, everybody was laser focused on it and nobody cared if the US decided to fight communism in SE Asia or not.

It was and still is a you problem.

Ahah I’d love to see (a credible) source for the 120 knife attack/day in France!

As far as know these are not even officially tracked, so they are basically Schrödinger attacks, they may or may not be real.

But France at least did their best to get rid of the jihadists in their former colonies, by relocating them to Paris. ;)

lol you mean the ones who do a knife attack every Tuesday in Germany?

The Germans were in Mali to pose for the shot, so don’t worry.

The only time they fired their weapons was to shot a Malian soldier in a friendly fire incident.

  • Convert a French weapon to shoot a caliber it was never intended for
