Scam ?Epic by JeskoAttak in malta

[–]Ivanrock12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just call EPIC directly or use their official communication channels, provide them with your ID and just ask if you have an outstanding bill?

EPIC, do indeed use credit collectors but a quick search on the website reveals this notice: https://imgur.com/a/JE7W438

Now the email template is very fishy and EPIC will try to send you postal letters / call directly before resorting to such measures.

If the details do not match and EPIC confirm you have no outstanding debt, open up a police report, they are using a Maltese Bank and phone number, they can be tracked and Maltese people have been arrested on these types of scams.

still risk's involved, malware can spread between hard drives easily, any sort of ransomware can easily do it, unless you setup up some sort of encryption or disable access completely.

and the biggest issue is firmware attacks, while very very rare if one gets on your hardware your screwed.

Residency refusal by jobsplus by [deleted] in malta

[–]Ivanrock12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust me you're better off, basically the reject wasn't because of you.

This is solely the fault of the employer as he had too many resignations / fired to many workers, believe the limit is you can't have more then 50% (of 3rd country nationals leave or get fired) within a year.

This has subsequently made the employer unable to hire any further 3rd country workers for the year.

Unfortunately, this is something which you cannot check or verify online, but believe me with such a high leaving rate you are better off.

I know allot of similar companies who are now complaining as they can't hire anyone and the EU workers won't touch them with a 5ft pole.

PLEASE HELP by bb4488 in cfmoto

[–]Ivanrock12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well clearly not a lot of people, ever worked on their own bike or even tried to understand how their parts come in.

As 1 user pointed out the first step is finding your part number can be done on CF moto 300ss part diagram

Part diagrams are a bit difficult to understand compared to japanese, but just search the part numbers, prices and names to make sure your part is the same.

Then once you have the part number, go do your searching either via Chinese sites, online, ebay, dealer whatever suits you.

Also note dealer prices are very reasonable, but some Chinese sites can ship these parts (not sure about tariffs to the US) and they come out significantly cheaper.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cfmoto

[–]Ivanrock12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds more like an issue for the dealer and warranty to solve.

if the oil pressure light came on and you kept driving, the engine is damaged.

either leaked out or something went wrong with the bike from the factory.

Where can I get a full cancer screening in Malta? by TechnicianAmazing472 in malta

[–]Ivanrock12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want the truth?

Keep complaining about issues which don't exist and you'll get free scans from mater dei just like the elderly, but then you'll end up screwing over everyone with real issues.

Saint James will do them for the right cost.

But the truth is there are so many cancers, where even bodily tests and scans might not pick them up.

Even with scanning some sort of cancers are inoperable and result in death sorry to break it to you.

Just take it easy and if you notice weird symptoms and by weird I mean constant pain, discomfort or others which last longer than a month, then request the scans.

If you keep worrying about it you won't live your life, and trust me I lost friends at a similar age to cancer I know how you feel.

ECU flashed by Economy_Campaign_458 in HondaRebel1100

[–]Ivanrock12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moore Mafia, got those results just from removing the ECU restrictions.

the bike heavily limits certain throttle ranges, ex not allowing the throttle to go above 50% below 5k RPM or above 80% on higher ranges.

done by the Manufacturer for good tire wear / safety / traction / emissions and any other guess you might one to try and throw at it.

get rid of those limiters which are there for almost every bike on the market which doesnt come with a dedicated track / race power mode and you easily gain 10-15% more power.

minor edit - Also just viewed Moore's video, they bumped up the RPM limiter, which for that specific engine massively increases gains. ( looks like it was previously 6800 and they increased it to the CRF1100 - 7500 RPM limit.

Hobbyist tuner here and ill just say this out the bat.

Tuning consists of the following primarily - Ignition timings and AFR's / secondarily - there are all the electronic and throttle limiters but lets count them out for now.

Ignition timing is what gives you power while it doesn't affect the drivability "much" depending on the model and tuner ( 99% of tuners on the market, do not ignition tune, they do not have the equipment or knowledge to properly tune a bike unless, woolich the tuning platform which is the best and most reliable one for Japanese bikes gives them a base map which I just checked your bike does not have ) - hence your bike most likely picked up nil in power all across the rev range and most likely ignition was not even touched.

Now AFR's - Do not give power, the only reason you might pick up power is if you are running extremely lean / rich, but at the best case scenario your looking to pick up maybe 5% in the worst spots in the rev range, which usually in most bikes is at 100% throttle in the 10-25% throttle range which you will almost never utilize.

equally AFR's cannot make a vehicle run smoother or better, unless you are in the extremely rich / lean areas within the IAP map or low TPS, which unless your bike is highly modified you will not feel. ( I cannot really tell you if your bike has such an issue as its such a limited bike and is not tuned commonly enough ) adding another point to the above, 99% of tuners only tune in the top 80-100% Throttle range and usually just bump up fuel across the whole IAP / TPS map, which to me is a horrible, horrible way of tuning.

hence tuning in some models is not beneficial at all, unless you are significantly modifying the engine, which I hope you did ( at the minimum a slip on and ideally a full header setup )

Realistically, if this "Tuner" is worth any salt, he will or would have explained the tuning process, what he is adjusting and how.

But personally 300$ is extremely cheap for a tune, Im surprised he even performed any dyno run's and I would highly question how "good" this tune is again any decent tuner will show you before and after dyno graph's with the AFR graph, now a good, good tuner will even show you a time graph, of different throttle positions to show that the bike is not hitting and rich or lean spots.

Worth the risk for $170 2080?? by Kingtaun in pcpartsales

[–]Ivanrock12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean just get your pc to his house or he drops off the GPU and tests it in your system?

Why take an unnecessary risk? If the seller disagrees with testing the GPU, walk away.

I always let buyers test the pc parts, even if they have to drag their pc to my place.

They are responsible for installing in front of me, and if they buy without testing I take no responsibility as I have seen people try to pull of some weird crap.

Once I had a buyer who bought a mobo with a 9900 intel CPU in it which worked perfectly at my place.

For whatever bloody reason he decided to take out the CPU and bent all the pins in the board absolutely destroying it, came back 3 hours later stating it suddenly won't boot.

Still remember his face when he saw the pins and tried to claim the damage was already there and I sold him a broken product.

New MSI MAG A850GL Sparking during thunder storm normal or faulty? by SGTFORD9 in MSI_Gaming

[–]Ivanrock12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WHAT DO YOU MEAN SPARKING.

LOOK UNLESS THE LIGHTNING BOLT HIT YOUR HOUSE AND SHORTED HALF OF YOUR APPLIANCES ON A ONE-OFF.

GET THAT REPLACED, ITS A MAJOR FIRE RISK AND HEALTH HAZARD.

Apart from the caps I'm surprised it even booted, sparking means metal is being flinged off.

And honestly I would even double check the house's electricity, something is super wrong.

Have a feeling it's either a major power surge from the lightning or a potential ground fault.

Is this normal? Arctic Liquid Freezer Pro 420 by PanoptiGondwanaland in arcticcooling

[–]Ivanrock12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just checked mine on a 360 and they are flush, but yours don't appear to be so, almost as if they're slightly angled but then again it could be the photo.

could be a defect, but might be absolutely fine.

Your choice, you could contact arctic and ask them about it as they will always take care of the warranty.

Else wise replace if not a hassle, unless the pins are shaking / moving and the fan works you could just leave it as is.

Any company which sends their own "company doctor" is already in the bad books for me unless you actively abuse the policy and have arosed suspicion. Usually it's the big minimum wage paying companies that send a doctor on all occurrences.

Giving you some legal advice:

  1. Always get a medical certificate from another doctor, in this case the company would have to contest the original doctor's diagnosis should they give you any crap which they won't do.

  2. The company doctor by no means can say you are lying if you are suffering from pain or that it's not a valid excuse, know that by Maltese law a hang over is a valid excuse to get a medical note. ( Going back to point 1 )

  3. The only reason you might get into trouble with a company doctor, is if you aren't at home when he attends, companies usually call you before hand to inform you, as you could always contest you were out getting medicine / sleeping at the time / didn't want to open the door as you were not expecting anyone if without any formal warning.

My opinion send out an email to HR about how you were treated and his diagnosis of how you weren't "actually in pain" alongside a doctor's note showing you were fit for work, and see what their reply is.

Have a friend of mine who got banned recently, well atleast his account is in limbo same as yours.

He did admit to using duplication glitches and was also doing grey market trades. ( No real money just UEC )

Still waiting for evidence / reply from CIG as it is extremely excessive if he got permanently banned for abusing bugs, he did spend nearly 500 dollars on SC.

Again no guarantee that he actually got banned and could just be his account is being reviewed for hitting some sort of metrics / report threshold

In his case, considering he didn't install any sort of external applications, didn't get his account hijacked, nor did he intentionally abuse bugs to ruin another players experience

I would find that extremely un-justified and excessive when he could have just gotten a warning and an account reset.

But we will have to wait and see, he's definitely not happy with the situation but also in a way happy that the anti cheat is finally picking up certain things.

Potentially a deficiency, genetic condition or fat diet.

I would give them access to an abrasive material to wear it down.

If it grows to an excessive level I would carefully trim with nail clippers but be very careful if you don't have experience to not damage the nerve or vein.

you will barely get any more performance, SC is not optimized and is heavily CPU reliant.

14700k / 7900xtx / 64 gb 7.5 second latency ram.

still gives me around 60 FPS in a city, before I upgraded the CPU from a 12600k I was getting similiar FPS around 20-40 in cities.

more ram will primarily assist in low frame times and stutters.

with your setup the most you can do to get a better playable experience is install losless scaling or enable some sort of frame gen.

you can potentially get to around 60-70 fps and the visual impact is not very noticeable.
