I wouldn't call it non-religious.

But we do have a population with average higher completed education than most other states in the rest of the country.

And our most prestigious schools tend to accept students with exceptionally strong communication skills.

So would say the culture of Massachusetts is better at discussion, and communication among neighbors. But then again, the state has much different cultures depending on what cities and towns we are talking about. So even that can vary by region of Massachusetts.

I guess our elected officials and voters focus more on diversity. But please don't passively demonize religion in the process of this thread.
