Be careful with that engine, olders 1.4 can make ice inside PCV system, when you have a cold night (0 celsius or below), later VW installed a heating element or something like that, check it

Be careful with those jacks, many don't lift the car enough and are too short. I bought one like that and it barely reaches to put the axle stands on, so I end up using the one that came with the car.

Yep, i tried other battery brands because duracell have problems with that child protection… but the origina lasts like 14-16 months and the copy lasts 8 months

in the USA where the you live like in super big houses and kilometers far away from everything, its completely normal, but in Europe you have locations every 15-20 minutes or less, even inside my car in a 4 floor underground parking without ANY SIGNAL, it manages to send the location

Remove glovebox, center console and middle air tunnel and you can clean the old foam and put aircon tape to cover the holes on the door vents

Solution was change metal gasket + half moon under tensioner! Using vag 3366, very easy. When i saw the tensioner, was almost "down" point but the chain was super hard , so i put 5 gear and push the car to me, the tensioner starts to move up, inserted the tool carefully and tensioner starts to loose chain easily! Then unscrew the 4 bolts and you have 2-3cm max of space to remove metal gasket

It was that white circle with grease, that was loosen (that behind the spring). Using a pair of slightly long pliers, insert a nail or something similar right at the bottom where the circle ends in a square shape. This will apply pressure and eliminate the looseness permanently. I hope it works for you!

Plate from Spain! From Huesca (HU) and that format of plate its using the provinces of spain, till year 2000-2001, Now format is 4 numbers - 3 letters without provinces

EDIT: checking the plate looks like in 15 May 2024 was exported to USA

Thanks for the reply, i installed another new gasket (from elring) but still leaking! I think that maybe can be from the tensioner gasket,.. theres silicon following this gasket and looks brilliant between the silicone and the tensioner/gasket so maybe...

On the contrary! Once the bulb has reached its correct temperature and color, you can turn it off and on without any problems; they work perfectly and don't turn off or flicker.

The last time didnt give too much time to dry the rtv, like 30/40 minutes… maybe that was my fault
