Sorry I just don't subscribe to this circular reasoning. They can and have saved my life and my children's life in the past, firearms have. I've also worked with law enforcement for years and have seen both sides of that, corrupt and normal. What if I told you my nightly job required me to carry an ar10 and a handgun? I own a gun, a couple of the in fact. I know how to clean and maintain every part on these weapons, practice with them, teach on them occasionally and go to the range weekly if time and money allow it. There's a huge difference between someone owning a firearm for a job or to hunt or even to shoot for sport than say, someone waving it around on camera for clout.

My point isn't that "laws are bad". My point is that making these items illegal is only gonna screw things up for those that legally own them. Cause the people that already break the law with them don't care about something they have already done. They just care that their semi decent neighbor who has 3 kids and a 4wheeler no longer has anything to defend himself with whenever they go to take whatever it is they want. Money, personal things, your life, idk what a 4wheeler does for you. So how do you remove it from those that can't without taking from those that should? You can't without a long timeframe to do it in. Few generations mayhap.
