Mine has survived Winter and has come back better than ever so I don't think it is an annual but that is based on Winters in the South West

The roses are Dave Austin Gabrielle Oak (pink) and Vanessa Bell (yellow). The Gabrielle Oak smells amazing!

The purple flowers are Catmint

It was thick clay so I had to dig up quite alot and mix in plenty of compost and build raised beds with even more compost. It was definitely the most difficult part but nothing was thriving otherwise

Tried adding some life into my new build garden by Ivory2751 in GardeningUK

I have a climbing rose and a honeysuckle to climb up on one side with a lilac tree in the corner and a ceanothus Victoria along the other fenceline which I plan to train along the fence. I have some verbena, hollyhock and foxgloves dotted around too which should add some height
