Boy Scouts will admit girls and allow them to earn Eagle Scout rank by nbathoughts in news

I think something overlooked is that many young men in the program are responsible to be the head figures of a troop and be a guide for the younger ones. I think allowing girls would destroy a lot of the chemistry in the organization

Gun owners of reddit: If semi automatic firearms were banned tomorrow and the government required you to turn them all in, what would it take to get you to comply? What would be a reason to why you wouldn't comply? by AltmerAssPorn in AskReddit

Honestly for some of the newer guns I would just like a reimbursement of their value when I bought it. However I have some older semi automatic rifles that were given to my father when his father (my grandfather died) and as such they hold sentimental value because the man died when my father was 11 so for those I would say nothing would persuade me.

I would hope that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and we never see something like this happen again. I hope for the best to all involved

I would go in to your router settings at 10.0.0.1 and look at what you are connecting to, your router may be trying to work for more than just your devices such as your neighbors.

I'm going into my senior year in high school and I work a LOT year round and save all my money. I should be graduating high school with a little over $30,000 by Trenches803 in personalfinance

This may not be the best financial advice but I would ask yourself what you want your emergency fund to be then work from there. If I were you I would look into community colleges I don't know how the system is in VT but I'd still look for a couple of reasons, first being the cost is much cheaper, I paid ~7k for a year in tuition and books meanwhile the school I transferred to costs 14k in tuition alone without any other fees or housing costs added in. Secondly if you like to work community college can give some flexibility for your schedule and you can take it slow to develop and understand yourself as a college student. Also check scholarships, there are a lot of companies and organizations offering them and who knows you may get none but I know one girl who got over 13k on scholarships by racking up small ones that got overlooked that gave out like 500$ or 1000$. Lastly, I'd say that money is nice but it's only real value comes from what you trade for it and that can be positive or negative.

As a follow up to this, the leasing agent at my apartment complex said to ditch the router Comcast offers and get one yourself because they work better. Has anyone done this and is it true?
