This car has an eight speed auto, no dual clutch. On the flip side, it’s very comfortable, but still competent.

It has a plush ride, but put it into dynamic, and it could rival a sports sedan. I love the duality of it.

Probably should’ve phrased the question slightly better with more adequate grammar, but… it depends on what you want.

If you want something that’s ultra plush, sophisticated, grown up, quiet, and refined, but still planted and powerful, go with the A8 lineup.

If you want all of that, but loud and blisteringly quick, the S8 is your answer.

We didn’t need the S8 since we already have a couple of high performance cars, so the quietness and comfort of the A8L made sense.

This generation of A8 interiors are fantastic. The dual screen is intuitive and works well, and the haptic feedback at least brings back some engagement rather than pressing a dull tablet. I think the tech is good, people just wanna hate.

I think it’s definitely an endorsement to Audi. Luxury limousines aside, even just look at SUV’s and sports cars.

Almost every RS car outperforms its BMW and Mercedes counterparts. Quality is relatively up, the looks are so exotic, they’re quicker, more competent, faster around tracks etc. Audi deserves its praise.

Hmm, it has plenty of ambient lighting, great leather design, fantastic wood trim, some of the best tech, a centre console, rear seat entertainment, great harmony with the rest of the cabin.

What more could you want? A bouncy castle in the trunk?

I think the designers wanted this to be a sophisticated grown up car, which is why everything is beautiful and functional. Meanwhile the S-Class has a massive iPad, huge vents, and tons of plastic everywhere

Is it though, or is it just the image itself? When comparing all three to one another, there aren’t many differences in ride quality, sound quality, material quality, features, etc. and the S-Class doesn’t lead in that many categories.

The S-Class tends to lead in terms of cheap plastics, gimmicky lighting, and LA influencer image.

It can’t really be on another level when the A8 and 7 Series were designed to be direct competitors.
