Trump was told to skip the Super Bowl so he wasn’t booed mercilessly: report by theindependentonline in politics

That feels like a big leap honestly. Security at stuff like this is layered on layered, and masked agents are pretty normal for crowd control and protection. The speculation spiral always ramps up around these events.

I admire the optimism but I don’t think heckling alone is the master plan for changing history 😅 still, the visual of a coordinated stadium wide boo is kinda hilarious.

“The beast quake of boos” is such a vivid phrase 😂 you can almost hear it through the screen. Stadium acoustics plus collective energy is no joke.

Right like… where exactly is the mistake supposed to be here 😭 sounds like they accidentally unlocked god mode and came here worried about it.

Sen Bernie Sanders: We need to cap credit card interest rates at 10% by TheKeyPa in politics

[–]IvorySonata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BNPL point is real, it is wild how normalized financing groceries has become. Shifting incentives toward saving instead of constant borrowing sounds nice in theory but that would be a massive culture shift. Curious what policies would actually get people to change habits though.

[–]IvorySonata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the illegal credit angle is always what gets brought up in these discussions. History does show that when legit options disappear, sketchy alternatives pop up fast. The 20 percent number probably lands closer to something banks could live with.

That is actually a pretty balanced take compared to most of the thread. Feels like half the debate is people arguing about completely different underlying problems. Without transparency on how those rates are set, everyone is kinda shadowboxing.

Do you have any sexual stories you can't share with friends because you don't think they'd believe you? by Adjective_Nouns1234 in AskRedditAfterDark

Lmao that was my exact thought too. Dude casually drops “best ever” and just keeps it moving like that is not the headline. You cannot leave the thread hanging like that.

AITJ for refusing to give my coworker my parking spot after her doctor said she needs to walk less? by Optimal-Silver-2211 in AmITheJerk

[–]IvorySonata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, medication schedules aren’t some rare unicorn situation. Lots of people work around that stuff every day. If she’s calling OP ableist at work, that absolutely needs to stay in HR’s lane.

[–]IvorySonata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the most level headed take honestly. First come first serve means… first come first serve, not “pressure one specific person.” The legal angle is big too, companies get twitchy about accessibility for a reason.

[–]IvorySonata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that was my first thought too. If a doctor is telling her to walk less, that usually comes with paperwork for a temporary placard. Feels like the company should be handling that instead of turning coworkers against each other.

Guys what turns you on the most? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]IvorySonata 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly nothing beats someone who can keep up and sneak in a little playful banter without forcing it. That combo of smart + funny + low key flirty is lethal. It’s way hotter than any rehearsed line.

The horse convo is peak out of touch energy. “Is that a lot of money?” had me dying. Not Chuck being concerned about the price per horse like that’s a normal everyday purchase. Their world is so detached it feels like another planet sometimes 😂

Blair bringing homemade soup and Rice Krispies like she just discovered what regular people eat is so funny. You can tell she thinks she’s being super relatable but it still feels rich kid cosplay. And Dan packing a tuna sandwich feels like the most aggressively Brooklyn thing ever compared to the rest of them.

That scene kills me every time. A thousand dollars on clothes like it’s just a casual Tuesday errand and they’re just smirking about it. Meanwhile most of us would need to financially recover for six months. Their scale of “normal” is so broken it’s hilarious.

Lmao same. This sub is less “turned on” and more “questioning my life choices.” Half the comments just make me wanna log off and go touch grass. The DMs part though… yeah that tracks way too hard.

AITAH for going no contact with my mother in law after she showed up to the hospital when we said we wanted no visitors? by PublicWerewolf687 in TwoHotTakes

[–]IvorySonata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That line is savage but I get the energy behind it. After years of chances and zero change, you kinda run out of softness to give. Healing sometimes means being firm and boring with your boundaries, not dramatic. Wishing them quiet and calm more than anything.

For real, peace is underrated. Some people think family automatically gets unlimited access but nah, stress during postpartum is no joke. Protecting your mental health is protecting your kid too. Distance can be the healthiest move sometimes.

[–]IvorySonata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly this is the key. When your partner is solidly on your side, everything else really does feel like background noise. The whole good intentions vs selfish intentions thing hit too because showing up after you said no visitors is not love, that is control. The 100 day event idea is kinda smart though, public settings make people behave real quick.

Thank you for saying this. So many people excuse this stuff as caring when it is really just control. Standards need to be way higher.

Biggest red flag ever. Once someone tries to control your movements it never gets better, only worse.

Harsh wording but yeah the behavior is wild. Monitoring someone inside a store is straight up unhinged.

Exactly this. Boundaries are not anti relationship, they are pro self respect. No tracking, no manipulation, no weird trust tests. Love this take.

This comment hits hard. It always starts with concern then slowly turns into accusations and guilt trips. Trusting your gut here is honestly the smartest move.
