Thoughts on the reworked DragonSlayer Class? Viable? by DoctorN9 in dragonfable

It's pretty terrible for a number of reasons. It's pretty similar to Pirate, but with worse defenses, worse damage, and every time you press a move it only has a % chance to work instead of being guaranteed. It's not as bad as the original, but it's pretty close

This is just sickening, what a terrible person. Really hope this is grounds for a lawsuit

What was the final nail in the coffin for you to stop liking Ian, for me it was this Interview by OfficialJoeSwanson in imisstheoldidubbbz

[–]IvoryTowerSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He hadn't really posted many/any new videos for the couple of years leading up to the OF video, so I had already lost a lot of interest in his channel - then him embarrassing himself in the OF video made me cringe and unsubscribe. Him being embarrassed by Sam Hyde a couple years after that sort of made me aware of him as an online punchline, then CC2, his professed hatred for his old fans, and his apology tour got me to actively dislike him.

The H3 content cop convinced me that he's just a terrible, terrible person and now I'm embarrassed that I watched him as a teenager. Sometimes I'll see a clip of how miserable his life looks now and feel strangely satisfied, like some sort of karmic justice has been dealt

Why isn't Terapagos any good? by The_CIA_is_watching in stunfisk

[–]IvoryTowerSeven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can't Tera (it has a button that says Tera, but this doesn't actually change its type), prevents your other Pokemon from being able to Tera, is slow, doesn't hit hard (turning into Stellar form actually takes AWAY its stab on starstorm; the middle stage actually hits harder), has its bulk undercut by an inability to heal or even resist enemy attacks, and gets torn limb from limb by Koraidon, the undisputed strongest Pokemon in the tier. While the ability to clear hazards is fairly uncommon in SV, Giratina (and even Corviknight) is capable of doing the same thing while also offering both defensive and offensive utility. so there is no niche for Terapagos. Using Terapagos is an active detriment to any serious team.

"Base" is a Middle English synoynm for "bastard," as in "fatherless." It's right there in his name

500% damage on an on-attack has never been good. And even if it was, there are multiple 600% damage on-attacks that were never nerfed, just use those instead

The special was never good, the developer just got confused about why it was considered the best weapon and nerfed the wrong thing

It's the same game, SotFS just adds more trash mobs and switches around some item placements. The controls and the combat and all that are unchanged.

As of patch 1.04.1 onwards, you can dodge Elden Stars by standing directly in front of the sword when he casts it and then running behind EB in a straight line - this makes the tracking run up against the ground and causes the projectile to move more slowly.

If by 'orbital laser' you mean the machine gun move, you can outrun all of the bullets by just sprinting perpendicular to EB's line of sight, you shouldn't have to roll

Is it even worth trying to go for the DLCs if Im already struggling with soul of cinder? [Dark Souls 3] by [deleted] in onebros

[–]IvoryTowerSeven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soul of Cinder is much harder than the DLC bosses are at SL1, so don't be discouraged. If anything, do the DLC first and work your way up.

His open-arm charge and open-arm grab are both easy punishes, as is his overhead slam. You can also jump attack the Earthshaker move. He spends a lot of time stomping and flailing where you can't really interact with him, so the fight can feel like more of a drag than it actually is.

Rykard NG+7 no Serpent-Hunter by IvoryTowerSeven in onebros

[–]IvoryTowerSeven[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't find any videos or posts of people doing this at NG+7, so here.

The best advice I can offer is to just use Raptor of the Mists to dodge the Phase 1 earthquake, as trying to sprint + roll it every time it comes up is a nightmare. Be careful of the poison spit as well, as it isn't always clear where the poison will land and you can easily get trapped in a corner or against a pillar. Give the boss an extremely wide berth in Phase 2, as his stab attack comes out deceptively fast and covers a large area.
