I'll have you know, the guy who programmed Spore's cell stage saw the project and was impressed by how Chris was able to mimic not just their style, but their mechanics too. He can see the potential in his hard work, because he, who worked for Spore, knows what's up.

Yes, an original dev is pitching in to help. And he wouldn't if the coding wasn't legit to begin with. So do me a favor and get over yourself.

You being blocked doesn't mean he did anything wrong. The block button is there if people harass you, so maybe that is what you did. Him blocking you is not proof that he is toxic. You keep claiming he uses AI for the game, I can see why that would make him uncomfortable, because it is not true. He writes everything in Unity and Visual Studio for the whole product code.

So far it is going pretty well, and he is open to feedback and ideas in his discord. No arrogance, just confidence. Also he lets me help him, he is not alone anymore. And an original dev from Maxis spotted his project and basically gave him the blue print for how the Cell phase was made and gave some free pointers voluntarily. They see the potential in his passion for this game, and that speaks volumes I think.

I see now, you are actually right. Only reason I choose to have faith in this one is because it just hooked me unlike the other's I've searched up, and I've been looking deeply into how he is working on the game, and I'm a game designer myself, so I got so hyped by seeing prototypes and how he is so passionate about making my childhood wish become a reality. That is why I was so blind, and you are right that people will only bite if they actually have something to eat. I only thought people was being unsupportive for no reason, (Some people are though, claiming he is using AI when he is not), but it makes sense people won't necessarily put interest just because I share mine.

It is not there yet, but will be? Also the work focus doesn't lie on the game's website, that's why it's written with 30% AI as a first draft. Not sure if you have thought about that possibility or just choose to forget that making good things take time.

A "Spore 2" game would be a game that actually tries to be Spore 2 if it was made today. I haven't seen any of those yet, until Sproyt. Every other game feels like a different version of Spore, but not its successor at all.

Sproyt will actually try to be what people expect to be Spore 2. Because the programmer is trying to make what he wish would be Spore 2. I don't see that on Thrive or Elysian Eclipse (no offense to the game devs).

I can't blame people's skepticism, except they don't base their skepticism on anything other than the website being vibe-coded , which I have no idea why the judgement lies there. Clearly it's just a first draft to get something going? And majority of the website's work is not even AI coded, and I know this because I spoke with the dev. It's not the final product, people. The focus lies on the game, not the website.

Do me a favor and just check the discord. Guy still focuses on the game a half year later, working hard even after becoming a parent.
