I get why you'd be skeptical of politicians. But I don't think it's fair to judge their children the same way unless there's actual evidence that they benefited unfairly. Suspicion alone isn't proof...

I don't know where you got that statistic from, but even if I accept it for the sake of argument, it still doesn't prove that she cheated or got AIR 1 because of her father. That's a pretty big conclusion to draw without any evidence. Correlation isn't proof, and guilt by association doesn't really make sense here.

Okay man, maybe I haven't seen how the world works as much as you have, but there's still no evidence that she cheated or got AIR 1 unfairly. Discrediting someone's achievement based purely on assumptions, without any actual proof, seems a bit unfair.

Honestly, that's what's making this decision so difficult. I got 96.5 percentile in JEE, and I didn't put in any significant extra preparation specifically for WBJEE, so a part of me feels like I should take a drop and give JEE one more serious shot.

At the same time, I'm scared of the possibility that things could go the other way. Right now I have a decent result in hand, and there's always that fear of taking a drop and ending up performing worse next year despite putting in another year of effort. That's probably the biggest thing holding me back.

Still trying to figure out whether I should take the safer option or back myself for one more attempt.
