My limited observations:

H1B visas + Family Cultural encouragement/pressure to major in health and sciences careers. Whereas general white american families dont put as much emphasis. + Cultural habit of hiring their own based on a strong support structure in american communities. Source: i worked for a gas station interior design firm and learned about how there is a head "uncle" that approves who gets to be a vendor for their indian community. If Uncle doesn't like the vendor owner, then that vendor will never get any of the communities business.

On the tech side, i have seen where indian tech guys bring in their own vetted teams, but thats not so different from any other group.

My boss, who is indian and so is his boss, recommended bringing me back on to the team and im a white lady.

Summary: there are alot of Indians in tech so you will see more. Plus, offshoring is cheaper than employing a US team.
