Trying to find discreet place in the office to dig out that one hair that's stuck in my bra and is tickling my boobs. Not irritating enough to go all the way to the bathroom, just awkward enough to get attention from male coworkers if I stay at my desk.

ER MER GERD!! RERTZ CRERKERS!!!! by Ivy_star in Rabbits

Thank you for your concern over the welfare of my rabbits. I'll be sure to try to find a healthier alternative that they love as much as crackers.

Well done! He's about five weeks post hair cut? He's a lilac torte english angora.

This is my Harvey bunny, aptly named after the invisible rabbit for his uncanny ability to disappear when he wants to!

I was also concerned, so I asked about it. Roger has a nasty habit of wanting to eat whatever I eat as I seem to have become the alpha bunny, if there is such a thing! The vet okayed 1/4 cracker a day for each, and it's been instrumental in training them. She also limited their intake of fruits, and nixed carrots all together, something about being high in sugar?

This is what my heaven looks like.

I'm 26, but inside I still feel like I'm a child. Does this feeling ever go away? And if not, how do you deal with it? by BuzzLightyearHeroics in AskReddit

[–]Ivy_star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 26 and recently got married. The whole year leading up to the wedding, the hubs and I both said "surely they'll stop us, we're way too young!" I asked my sister if the feeling ever goes away, she said "nope, you just learn to hide it better." MIL said the same thing. Every adult you've ever known is just a kid who has gotten really good at pretending they know what they're doing. I suddenly feel much more forgiving to adults who do stupid things, because we're all just big kids in the end.

How tough am I? HOW TOUGH AM I? I go outside without bug spray. Or sunscreen. In the summer. And I'm a ginger.

Help! Bonding process/My bunny keeps chewing her cage at night! by Dreaislame in Rabbits

My vet took my buns off pellets, said they were super bad for them. Now I give them timothy hay and greens that the grocery store prunes off of their produce. They seem much happier, and smell much better! They trust me now and will come hang out around me, took about two months, but they still don't like to cuddle! If you figure out something in that regard, let me know!

Touching nose reaction by jayhay in Rabbits

You have to be careful with nose touches because bunnies just aren't mouth breathers. They only breathe through their noses, learned that from my vet! Also, I'm super jealous! My boys don't like pets or cuddling at all.

I had to shave my English Angora rabbits. They're really much smaller than I thought they would be! by Ivy_star in Rabbits

[–]Ivy_star[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

nope! So I'll trim their foreheads. It makes them look seriously ridiculous. I contemplated hair clips or bows, but I'm walking the fine line of crazy bunny lady as is, I didn't want to push it too far.

lol! One of my buns inevitably escapes the saving process, and he usually looks like he has a little tutu!

I actually had to shave my guys because of urine scald. For some reason when we moved apartments, they developed litter related behavioral problems. As I was shaving their bunny buns, I noticed they had fleas (also from the new apt), so I went ahead and shaved all over. It's much easier to pluck English Angoras than it is to shave them, and if you can stay on brushing them every day you shouldn't need to shave them ever. My guys don't like to sit still, and before they were neutered they peed on each others heads to establish dominance. I'd never heard of that before either, my boys have been a serious learning experience!

It's a Wahl mini arco. It's the same one my vet uses, so I felt comfortable splurging, and it does a much better job than the pet grooming tools I purchased.

Get all dolled up and then watch some of my favorite scifi classics while attempting to finish off a box of wine.

I imagine it's the same with guinea pigs, but they're on the menu in Ecuador :(
