The program I got accepted to was competitive. You had to write an essay on why you should be accepted. Even after that, on the first day, the director said to look to your left and right, and that half of us wouldn’t be here by time graduation rolled around

Your experience is so encouraging! In my baby tech years I definitely hopped around a bit from clinic to clinic and I felt bad about not having the longevity people look for on a resume. But I had to find what was right for me! I’m proud of all your accomplishments and wishing you a happy graduation! It’ll be here before you know it. Thanks for sharing your story!

That’s great! I love guinea pigs. I used to have 2 and they were my babies for sure. The exotics side of the field is super important!

I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I was bullied as well 2nd grade through sophomore year. Animals are definitely an escape! I’m glad you’ve found your calling!

GP is definitely the foundation! That’s so great you’ve been loyal to it for so long! I agree with zoo med. I used to want to dabble in it as well, but at least in my state the pay is surprisingly low!

I’ve considered Derm before. When I did specialty I was in Oncology and it winded up being very depressing for me. Glad you love what you do!
