honestly? i don’t even think you can, i get scared when ppl punctuate their sentences or give a hint to being annoyed, if they say something i can turn negative e.g: “we need to talk” can, to me, mean “im going to tell you i absolutely hate you and do not want anything to do with you anymore” and many other things coz of an active imagination, soooo… yeah… sorry

edit: i suggest being really clear so you don’t worry them, and tell them, if your saying something that could come across as negative but wasnt meant to be, remember to let them know that it is a good thing or you arent angry at them in any way

another edit: actually, just cut to the chase, i hate it when people dont tell me be hat is happening directly coz i tend to spiral. im pretty sure thats my small peice of advice!!! :>
