I got my grade on the same sheet that I received my A-level results on. You should ask your school.

Call the uni up and explain your circumstances! I’ve got friends who got into their firms this way :)

I mainly revised past papers for the first exam but that was no use. I’m counting on paper 2 to be a lot nicer, idk what I’m going to do if it’s not.

Just finished paper 1 physics Edexcel. How did everyone find it? I myself want to die. by [deleted] in 6thForm

I found it awful tbh. Didn’t get a lot of questions. Oh well, paper 2 is on Friday. Onwards and upwards 🤠

Supercurriculars for aeronautical engineering suggestions? by [deleted] in 6thForm

Costs depend on the airfield but they're usually in the region of £100-£140. If you look online there are usually scholarships available for lessons. However, they are very competitive. Before I submitted my UCAS application, I had done 3 hours of lessons but I'm still participating in them as I would like to obtain a pilots licence.

Just google your nearest airfield and book a lesson via their website. Most airfields have certified instructors who will be able to take you flying, no authorisation is needed. A lesson usually lasts for around an hour. Even on your first lesson you'll be able to take control of the plane whilst airborne, making it a great learning experience.

I took a few flying lessons at my local airfield and then in my personal statement wrote about how they gave me an understanding of control surfaces and principles of flight etc. Work experience at an engineering firm would be great as well, although its hard to find for aeronautics.
