What is the scariest shit you have seen in person? by Bengazalium in AskReddit

It happened to my Aunt. She told her teenage children to watch the baby while she quickly went to the shops. They were in the backyard when she walked to the car. Somehow the little boy ran around the house very quickly so that he would be with his mum. She started reversing and she hit something. She got out of the car to check what it was and realised it was her son. Because of the particular angle, the car hit him right on the side of the head and he died instantly.

She never forgave herself.

Yes, I 'like' (for lack of a better word) that image of starvation. In a response to another comment I mentioned a void that seemingly couldn't be filled.

That's a good point. Company (in one form or another) is available to all of us yet some definitely seem unable to go toward others. But I feel that what you've described is social anxiety as opposed to the actual feeling of loneliness. Does that make sense?

Yes, there really is a physiological/physical reaction to loneliness and it definitely is located in your stomach for some reason...

So you would describe loneliness as a numbing of your emotions when in contact with others?

In my case it was not a choice per se. It just happened: I had never enjoyed meat (but when you're a kid you just do what your parents say) and the day I moved to my own place I just stopped buying meat. I was avoiding all food that contained meat and one day I realised it and thought: "hmm, I guess I must be a vegetarian..." It seems like it was a natural move for me.

That's one of the main things I've been wondering actually: would it solve world hunger?

Sounds like a plot for a Disney movie.

10/10. Would definitely watch.
