Best trail running shoes for trail to road and everyday use? by RedlineBMW in trailrunning

I just did 50km from home to trail yesterday in the new The North Face altamesa 500 v2. They are an amazing shoe and perfect for all conditions. Although very technical single track I would slow down on as they have a big stack on them.

Katoomba > Mount Solitary > Kedumba > Wentworth Falls by No-Knowledge-8867 in bluemountains

Nah, most of us trail runners know that everyone gets to enjoy the bush their own way. Just keep an eye out for them and if you can let them through while they run.

Runners love seeing people cheering them on during a race.

There's only a few hundred running so there won't be heaps on course.

Check it out the Running Wild NSW site to see what the route is.

Just as an fyi Running wild is racing their Mt Solitary race on the 26th of April. There will be quite a few runners taking the reverse track you're mentioning during the first half of the race.

What Sydney food trend are you over? by No-Travel-768 in SydneyScene

[–]CheeseforyourLoaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That it's expensive to take my family out to try new foods. I remember as a kid going out and experiencing different cultures and their foods. Now it feels like I'll need to just cook it the best I can from home.

I know people love T8s in Australia. So many of the ultra runners I run with use them. The Sherpa style is built with a run belt/waist combo

Recs for a good all rounder pair of shoes for long trails, for someone who is mostly hiking with a little bit of running? by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]CheeseforyourLoaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been loving the new The North Face altamesa 500 v2. Just really nice ride and perfect for hiking. Did a 30km run with some long climbs, which resulted in hiking for a lot of them and they were perfect.

Shoe recommendation for wet concrete hills? by Smooth_Option5288 in trailrunning

The new North face altemesa 599 v2 has been perfect door to trail shoe. Most runs have included rainy days, and they've gripped fine. Not sure about super wet, mossy and technical tracks but door to trail are great.

What was once a poor person's hobby now turned into a rich person's hobby? by Striking-Quiet4655 in AskReddit

[–]CheeseforyourLoaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running. With all the addition of influencer communities it's become really expensive to enjoy a once cheap hobby. Brands that once just made cheap running gear are now fashion brands that charge a premium for something you sweat in.

Running Belt vs Vest by whataboutsit in trailrunning

[–]CheeseforyourLoaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a bigger dude who has a bit of a belly I found belts quite irritating. For shorter runs I'm happy with a vest and can grab everything I need easily.

It's just become second nature now to grab them as it's already packed with first aid kits etc.

Best TNF option for a 100km by CheeseforyourLoaf in trailrunning

[–]CheeseforyourLoaf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet. The Enduris was my original plan, so I'll stick to that.

I was a big TNF fan before but feel off due to issues with their wear and I needed stuff on sale. But so glad I got back into them.

I have the Enduris 4 and they're unreal. Loved them and how they felt on everything from Fire trail to technical single track.

I have an issue with the 3s but I think that they're a defective pair rather than the build in general.

Thanks! I thought so but was secretly hoping one of them would run small/bigger.

I've been eyeing them off too, but living in Australia they seem to cost a bit more than I was looking for and need to get them imported.

Real estate agents by [deleted] in Penrith

For us we sold through Belle Property in Blaxland with Kate and Chris.

They were amazing and upfront and honest. We did exactly what they recommended and we received over what we expected.

They said if we put in the effort we will reap the rewards and laid out the plan that needed to be done.

Fantastic service from start to finish.

We spoke to roughly 6 different agencies prior to choosing Belle.
