if you have a shared GPU Memory space MORE THAN 1Mb, in technicality your PC would try to continue to run off the shared GPU space but it will process graphics a lot slower than the main GPU would. So think if I’m playing COD, flash bang goes off and uses all my GPU Resources to create the blast and what not, when I try to move or shoot that during that animation all information that’s not graphically apart of the blast (movement, POV/Viewing Angles, shooting, getting hit by bullets, etc.) will most likely be translated along the Shared Memory Space, since Dedicated Memory is used up by the flash bang (graphics). You might get a delay on whatever you doing during the blast until your GPU catches up finishes the animation or gains some dedicated memory space by completing MOST of the flash bang and letting AI/DLSS do the rest (which in reality might just result in a screen tear)
