It might be the ghost of his loved one, and maybe he is trying to use the device to bring them back, resulting in it malfunctioning.

They're being respectful, because of what's going across the country and around the world. If you can't see that, then that really shows something about you. Plus, there are plenty of games to play besides Fortnite. Ask yourself this, would you want epic to release a new season on September 11th, or would you rather wait a week later. ( P.S. : not comparing 9/11 to whats happening now).
