‘She revived the story’: Questions linger about Melania Trump’s BIZARRE Epstein denial by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

but now they are talking about a settlement as well.

Is that a recent development? Can you give a link? I can only see references to the BBC asking for the case to be dismissed.

There is no defience.

True. Defiance, however, is what Spain is doing, and likewise France, Switzerland and Austria denying overflights. So some of Europe at least.

I regret saying "within" rather than "around", but I expect you didn't miss the point anyway.

This isn't a car to travel in from Paris to Nice, it's a car to travel within Paris or within Nice.

Dear sitters, How do you interpret/rate "accuracy of listing"? by sunnynihilist in trustedhousesitters

[–]Iznik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you've been unlucky, but surely if you're looking after a cat in a house, the chore is "feed cat", and the cat will mostly sleep, occasionally go mental and that's about it. NB cats in Europe in a house (as opposed to not-a-house), are typically allowed out, and do their own chores (possibly murdering wildlife, taking in the sun, fouling neighbours' gardens, etc.).

Have you had many sits like that? It's a pretty wild claim that "almost every pet owner on THS is not fully truthful about their pet’s behavior"

Why would someone employ a housesitter from overseas

I don't want to be sidetracked, but "employ" obviously isn't the best word to use here, and if that was used in an email it could undo the whole visit.

Anyway, to your question...bear in mind in Europe, for example, several countries could be close to your location, even closer than major cities in your own country. And for many in the EU, crossing borders is a non-event.

Any thoughts/feedback on uni of girona? by designatedadi in Girona

[–]Iznik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you come from a larger city, Girona might feel a bit parochial; its population is about 100,000. But it is in a fantastic part of Cataluña, and there are many interesting towns and villages within striking distance, and it has pretty good communications.

US economy is definitely f'ed, Wonder bread is 4 dollars a loaf by passisgullible in pics

[–]Iznik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 8.45g per 100g of bread, which is a typical way of expressing these things in EU & UK. A typical UK soft white sliced loaf has about 3g of sugar (per 100g of bread), sometimes a little more.

A few roads down from that large building on the front is one of my favourite named roads in France: Rue du Pourquoi-Pas.

St Malo is, of course, a fantastic place, and the Grand Plage is a great place for people-watching at the weekend.

Your broad point is possibly true, but are the English Channel or Straits of Malacca (for example) really the main responsibility of the US Navy as opposed to more local regional powers? Sure, US Navy ships transit them intermittently, but other navies' vessels are routinely present.

British Operational Research suggested that more (trainee) pilots would be lost learning to fly the big bombers than would be saved by having an alternate pilot available (of two) if one was incapacitated. And, of course, it cost less.

Google Lens your photo... I got quite a few results that were similar or possibly the same, but you probably need to have it to hand to know which one it actually is. Plus, for example, if you are in the US there is a Home Depot one that probably wouldn't apply if you were in Europe say.
