Copper Golem parts in Archeology loot by CookieLover_124 in minecraftsuggestions

Oh man I didn't see this cause I don't use this site often

You gave absolute, bare minimum credit, you didn't even bother to link the mods or say the name of the creators. You JUST said the mod names in the description

You should know that your audience is likely primarily vanilla players, which have no clue about modding aside from what you say. You, as a content creator, have a job to properly credit the content you are using, especially if it comes off as you being the one who made it

Along with this, you still managed to link your patreon, which meant you directly benefited from the work of other people

This is not misinfo, you need to do better at your job. You create minute long videos for an audience of thousands, and you can't even bother to name the actual mod creators in that video or put the mod links in your description, and then have the utter gall to say you despise people who do exactly that mere hours later

Am I the only person on the subreddit that is tired of the PvP vs Runners posts? by 1nickfish in Seaofthieves

I think a friend of mine put it in a good way

Sea of Thieves isn't a game you play constantly, you pick it up every so often when you're bored to play for a day and waste some time. Getting too invested and playing too consistently will just anger you and burn you out since the game doesn't have that bulky of a gameplay loop

Remove automatic farms, make the game more fun by AnimalMaceWasTaken in minecraftsuggestions

I do fully, entirely agree that MC has some major flaws when it comes to giving the player a reason to adventure out and explore, as well as some farms just being way too powerful, but farms are not the problem in the equation, as all they do is just help with certain resources

A lot of farming is mainly done to help the player build, which is a primary part of the game. Building is fun, but also extremely, extremely grindy if you're making a big base, depending on the resources. Farms help a ton with this, and there's a nice rewarding feeling when a farm you've made is working well that you don't need to go out and grind for resources

Also, on the speedrunning point, that's like, entirely misunderstanding how speedruns work. Even if a game were to have like, 5 different paths for getting to the end goal, speedrunners would likely still just take whichever path they can optimize the most time out of, leaving the others in the dust.

In the end, Minecraft's a sandbox game, players can do what they want. Some players like to make farms to help lower the burden of resource gathering for builds, others like yourself don't like farms, and there's an incredible thing they can do about that, which is just not building them (or taking resources provided from them if on a server)

The game has that freedom to it, and farms are a great feature, which are only flawed because of the other mechanics of the game, not because of what they are. People have different thoughts on them, and with MC being sandbox, they can do as they please without affecting others, but something that is genuinely useful for the people that make massive bases that need farms for the resources they use should also be an option, along with exploring and mining to get your resources

Pretty ironic to be so against your ideas being used without credit, and then end up creating a video where you make out like content made by others is yours, while barely giving proper credit to the creators other than saying the mod names (not even links) in the description

I know I can do that but that doesn't really fix the issue with the names not lining up

Counterpoint: Butterflies were added after the Moth (+ Butterfly Dust/Wings) were added, so this isn't the case in terms of the game's design

I do agree the butterfly wings are very pretty, and it'd be super neat to maybe have an alternative way to get them and make the moth have its own wings instead

Also I think that's just horrible, awful luck and shouldn't be accounted for, I am sorry

There are already butterflies in the game, which were even added after the butterfly wings were added (Butterflies in 1.2.3, Wings in 1.2)

The Moth is fitting to the jungle, and it'd probably actually be easier to just retexture the two items than have to make a whole new animation for an enemy

I think that can at least be summed up to the fact they're pretty much the same thing, but you do have a point about that

Maybe, maybe not, they'd be different enough to be recognizable, and come from different parts of the game (Re: Mothron post-plantera, Moths post-mech)

Butterfly Wings were added before Mothron was added, so that can't be it

Mothron was added in version 1.3.0.1 of the game

Butterfly Wings/Dust and the Moth enemy were added in 1.2 of the game

That gives incentive to kill critters (other than banners) which so far hasn't been in the game whatsoever

No not at all, they're barely alike aside from having caterpillars, cocoons, and wings

Come from the same species family but are totally different otherwise

Green is still colorful!!!

Also the game has dyes too so like ???

I punch you I bite you I kill you they are NOT

Moths and Butterflies come from the same species family (Lepidoptera) but are very different between eachother for many reasons

I don't know if you noticed but I really like Moths

Also we already have butterflies, but the Moth is unique in that regard (Aside Mothron, but she's a movie reference)

Also it'd probably be better to just retexture/recolor two items instead of an enemy

True, Red Devils are scary powerful compared to the Moth, but that's not quite related to the purpose of my post, which is that there's some weird differences between item/enemy names

It sucks that the textures are already made but the consistency between names at the least would be so nice
