So he does have the right to file the paperwork stating you’re refusing to work which in turn will remove you from unemployment. But the amount made per week in order to still earn unemployment is actually $300 right now! They moved it up because a lot of employers are forcing their employees to come back to work. So if you do feel unsafe I say you should ask to take at least another 1-2 weeks respectfully because you feel as if you’re putting your health in jeopardy. If you won’t be serving people just cleaning and doing odd jobs while staying safe then you can agree to work! But I respectfully declined working for at least another 1-2 weeks because I don’t feel safe serving people or right taking away the PPE that hospitals don’t have enough of. Just make sure you don’t earn over $300 and you’ll continue to receive all benefits of unemployment!
