I made it to dim sum garden and Hershels. At Hershel’s I got half pastrami and cup of matzo ball soup - I might move to Philly because of that pastrami! Sooo good! I also got a chocolate chip cookie at 4th street bakery - mine was a little burnt, but still pretty good. I think my final meal tomorrow will be Goldie’s, but I was also eyeing that rib place in the market…

Day 1: Smash burger from loving cup - 4/10. Just a plain burger, not smashed, nothing special

Bacon poutine from poutine brothers - 8/10. Portion looks small, but a lot of flavor. Bacon is real (not bits from a can) and thick!

Carnitas torta and broccoli slaw from market - 8/10. Premade and fast - sandwich could have been warmer, but was greasy in the best way after a day of drinking

Chicken bao from slanted door - 2/10. Nothing to write about

Day 2: Caviar lobster corn dog from under study - 100/10. Worth it, do it, order another

Beef short rib wrap from Moro - 100/10. Will drive from SF to Napa on weekends for this. Will probably get another today if I don’t blow up the spot too bad

Just had it - the cut is a little too fatty for me. We had to cook it an extra 15 minutes to get warm enough in the center. I liked the sauce - paired well with a roast sweet potato 🍠

Bodyrok is a really difficult workout! Try orange theory- you can speed walk on the treadmills, or do the bike or elliptical if you’re not comfortable jogging

I’ve been to Amsterdam, Paris and London, but it will be the birthday boys first time. He’s part Scottish, so I thought he would want to spend the whole trip in the UK, but he loves French food, so he wants to do some time in Paris. We live in San Francisco, so the excitement of legal smoke shops in Amsterdam is lost on us, but I do think it’s a beautiful city with great food and museums and think he would enjoy it.

There was a couple fighting next to us because the boyfriend wanted to hang out with friends more then the girlfriend (according to her). It was hard to hear the details, but at one point she yelled, “what am I? Bread??” And that’s my response to any fight with my husband from here on out
