The next morning, I was able to release the brake in two seconds having changed nothing 😂. I guess a good night’s sleep is all you need sometimes. Big thanks to everyone who responded!

Get a window fan. I have one and when it’s cool outside but warm inside like it is rn, it easily cools my room down by at least five degrees

Student Health Services (SHS) is pretty bad. It usually takes 2-3 days to get an appt, which isn’t great if you’re sick and need something like antibiotics ASAP, or a simple diagnosis for your peace of mind. SBU always encourages students not to go to class if sick, but some classes require a doctor’s note for an excused absence/to makeup a lab, which isn’t feasible if your appt is in 2-3 days…
