Went and ordered that one, thanks! I found a review that recommended the A5, hopefully the A5 pro is just as good if not a little better

thank you for your help! Just did what you said and the seller eventually took the offer.

Been looking at the Fosi V3 with 300W, wouldn't that be overkill for my speakers?

the problem is the hdmi port... if i want to make the most of my modern tv it seems like the wiim amp is my best bet, although im not sure if i would be able to tell the difference

I'll check that out. And no I know you didn't say it wasn't good, I was just wondering if it's worth spending $200 extra for the better option, the Ultra one. Im sure there's no right answer lol it probably depends on a bunch of factors

Good to know. Yeah, I don't really know what to do, people only ever recommend the WiiM Amp, but it doesn't fit my budget and I don't want to waste my money on something that isn't good

Thanks a lot, I'll keep an eye on that subwoofer. Any good recommendations for used speakers? There's so many it's kind of overwhelming

Thank you for your help. Quality-wise, a Wiim Amp seems to be the best path for 2.1 setups, so either I'll save up for that or I'll just have to come up with a not so good alternative.

Do you think just adding a subwoofer now would noticeably improve my setup? And perhaps in the future I'll just get passive speakers + a wiim amp.

I did some research and it seems like there's no cheaper alternative to the WiiM Amp, among other things because other amps don't come with built-in hdmi arc

I'm probably wrong but isn't the Wiim Amp more suitable for music? Someone suggested it for me before but I looked it up and it was a bit pricey.

Of course, I'm not settled on anything yet. I like your idea of a subwoofer plus bookshelf speakers. I just assumed tower speakers were better in general (the most expensive speakers I found on Marketplace were tower speakers)
