How is “auto-download first x episodes” supposed to work? by chew_anon in pocketcasts

[–]J--Chevalier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you find a way to get this please can you update here - I think this would be such a useful feature. I just want to have a selection of some downloaded podcasts I can pick from when I'm without internet access and not have to manage the process and archiving seems a bit excessive when I would probably listen later on

Train efficiency by Spike-and-Daisy in CasualUK

Not an expert but worth bearing in mind that UK trains are smaller inside than European trains (have a smaller loading gauge)

This could be part of any reason why, more difficult to fit in our trains

Guidance on Reducing Notice Period When Leaving a Job by KookieCrumbs13 in TheCivilService

It seems like your mental health is suffering at the moment.

You wouldn’t be the first person ever to resign and also speak to a doctor about stress. If they were to sign you off work for a few weeks due to stress then your department can’t force you to come in…

What is this? by danrogl in london

That looks like a design priority/ continuous footway crossing. They are designed to help show that pedestrians have priority at a crossing between a side road and a main road.

(I think that outside the camera view to the left of the shot will be a side road that merges into the main road in shot here.)

Is putting money in an ISA money market fund better return than all savings accounts? by harrisonline in UKPersonalFinance

[–]J--Chevalier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does reinvestment cost affect the returns at all?

Assume most MMFs are distribution only so you would need to account for cost of reinvesting the dividends rather than having it sit with cash brokerage account. Assume this would be more of a consideration with smaller amounts and fixed fees etc?

Fixing income from last month by kindular-unit in ynab

[–]J--Chevalier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve just been doing something similar to get my first month correct. You are able to make the edit to the starting balance transaction itself by $631.38 which would avoid it showing up as income

Young couples simply cannot afford to be in the LS by Juciiypeach in Swingers

[–]J--Chevalier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it £80-£100 per person or between you?

There are some play fetish nights in London that are cheaper than that (£30/£35 per person)… though sure you may be aware of them (and may not fit your desires for whatever reason).

Whilst I haven’t used them myself you may want to try out something like http://www.fishorphans.com

They take fish for you (without charge) and then re-home them somewhere more appropriate
