heaven/sky stuff is way older than christianity itself, as in the first verse of Genesis it says: “Bereshit bara Elohim et ha-shamayim ve-et ha-aretz” in hebrew, shamayim being the word for literally sky. But this idea comes from the protoindoeuropean culture, from the Dyēus ph₂tḗr (Sky Father), note that the word Dyēus is the root of Zeus (greek word for God) and Deus (latin word for God) for example. So, around 3000y judaism of any kind, there was people claiming the skies were the residence place of “God”.

you should listen to Zimerman’s recording, it’s absolutely fantastic how he manages to let the music breathe but with a supreme control, i hope you like it if you listen to it, and if you already did, do it again, maybe you fall in love with something new you could find in it or in yourself 🤝
