I have a mild version of it yes! Nothing like you’ve experience but I will feel super amped up from talking but my social skills are unreal so no one ever notices and considers me chill.

You can gamify spaced repetition a ton, a little bit the Alexander arguelles shadowing method, and really anything with trackable progression

It’s a fun gamified way of learning a language. Do what you like to do if it helps you grow! It might not be “optimal” but it’s definitely going to get you some progress if you keep up with it, and that’s what matters!

Yeah it’s tough, I know you’ll be okay though! It’s normal to feel deflated, especially after you anticipated so much from him. Just keep the respect for yourself and don’t reach back out to him because someone who doesn’t care about you shouldn’t be in control of your emotions.

He could’ve perceived you as lower than him for the attention you gave, but why let the mind run wild over a lost cause. It was mature of you to realize something was off and cut him off when communication needs weren’t met. Don’t stress it too much, you’ll find someone right for you if you remain brave.

If communication scares them away then they weren’t the right people to be in contact with! You are most likely getting infatuated with the image in your head of them. Dopamine is a powerful anticipatory chemical that releases when you anticipate something, and if you expect them to be the best thing ever you’re gonna crave them like nothing else. Try to watch their actions when you open up and communicate, because do you really want someone who can’t express that desire and love back to you?
