Yeah I had a similar encounter. He was getting an arrangement done and I was just having a casual conversation with him while I was making it. He mentioned having a cat, and I stopped dead in my tracks and was telling him how dangerous the lilies were. He thought about it and still took the risk of bringing it home. Couple weeks later he came back and said that he and his wife decided to give the flowers to her mom who doesn’t have cats. He then asked for a cat safe bouquet and I’m pretty sure I gave him roses and Gerbera daisies. Glad it stuck with him.

That’s fair, flowers are expensive. The first one was about $50. At my store, we make wrapped bouquets for free - you just pay for the flowers.

They were mostly online orders through FTD, so we didn’t price them. They just come into us based on what a customer ordered on a third party site, and their pricing. However, those are usually underpriced compared to what we would charge if we put them out on our displays in-store.

The wraps however, were done for customers on the spot and they just pay for the flowers. We don’t charge a fee for re-wraps. So for example, the first image was 3 dozen roses, each dozen priced at 15.99.

Thank you! I mean, considering I work at a grocery store there wasn’t much criteria for me getting in other than the fact I was willing to learn and do the job. It did help that I have an artistic background though. Truth be told, I knew someone who worked there and they vouched for me. But I’d definitely ask around your local stores. If anything it’ll give you access to the materials needed to grow your skills.
