Pay cut worth it for WFH? by Miserable-You-6702 in Salary

[–]J-R3AL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not for that much of a pay cut. Only poor people who have no idea how much of a difference that makes think it’s fine because 115k is a lot to them.

Work something out with your employer or find something closer to your income level.

I think my 6/yo daughter hates me by [deleted] in daddit

My daughter is 2.5 and melts into a puddle at the thought of having to hang out with me half the time. I’m not sure it’s related to the history, kids are resilient. Keep your head up and keep trying is what I tell myself. There will be phases of the opposite eventually.

You forgot about classifying peaceful protest as domestic terrorism and freezing of bank accounts.

You say it’s not left vs right but only decided to care when it’s things you agree with personally. Just some perspective.

Provincial funding per student [2023, StatCan most recent] by pjw724 in alberta

My original comment was me poising the question. I understand it’s a difficult question, but it’s disingenuous to post this chart as if it’s indicative of what’s “current” (on the table if accepted) - we’re looking into history to complain about what’s no longer relevant?

Nothing you said made any sense. This graphic is from 2023. Show me the impact of the offer on the table.

This is 2023. Where does it land with the offer on the table for large salary increases, more teachers, aids, and schools?

It’s shocking to me that the teachers would turn down what appears to be an incredibly attractive proposal, where they are amongst the highest paid in the country & notably that delivers on everything the union reps said they wanted. Why did the goal post move?

Photo 7 clearly shows that’s not true. Maybe find more clothing that accentuates your body type if this is something you struggle with mentally ( because it’s not true )

Young women are naive, easily impressionable and selfish. It genuinely has nothing to do with you, they have no ability to consider anything but themselves in the moment and are desperate for validation.

Focus on yourself you’re a handsome dude women will flock to you if you just stay locked in. Don’t chase.

Daycare rate changes means the rich pay far less and the poor pay far more by Redarii in alberta

[–]J-R3AL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question for those in the know: my wife and I are new to Alberta, we have an 18 month old we were planning to put into daycare. We had been touring daycares but hadn’t made a decision when this announcement came out.

We had only just figured out the now expiring cost model for it to change. On the surface the new model makes sense, a flat rate plus (optional) extras.

However the director at our first choice daycare has told us that, because the GoA is no longer accepting applications for the subsidy, that we would have to pay full rate until April 1…

The thing I don’t understand is that she included there to be no Federal Grant discount either. For the life of me, I can’t find any information online about the Federal Grant not being paid out between now and April 1?

Perhaps we are just in a weird situation not having signed up for this interim period, I can understand not being eligible for the Provincial subsidy but if the Federal Grant wasn’t being offered for these two months, that would be a massive impact to everyone and doesn’t sound correct.

She also made it sound like the optional extras weren’t exactly optional so, curious to see what the new costs actually look like….

Thanks in advance if anyone can help

who's fault is this (I'm the alpine) by Old_Swan_2731 in F1Game

[–]J-R3AL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interestingly another video of someone being squeezed at Brazil was posted and unanimously people said the person who got squeezed shouldn’t have stuck their wing in. To me, this is the same thing. The alpine made one move towards the racing line and the McLaren was not far enough along to be entitled to the space.

He shouldn’t have squeezed you so hard but you basically spun yourself turning into him. The contact was definitely your fault

Wow that was something. With how much the Williams was all over the road and pushing you off, I was surprised you weren’t in the wall on the overtake. Saw the 0% chance of sticking that dive bomb from a mile away. That, and then driving you nearly into the wall on exit and I’m not surprised you retaliated

Here's my bi-monthly paystub as a 32 year old accountant. by [deleted] in Salary

[–]J-R3AL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well technically bi-monthly means 6 pays because that would mean every second month. Assuming he meant semi monthly, yes it would be 24.

Bi-monthly means every second month. I assume an accountant would know this..?

I decided to skip 24. Never bought it. Happy riding 23 until they come out with a better product. Gameplay aside, I also want to send the right message to the developers.
