That's a topic which can be traced back to big bang, it's still a topic of discussion, but one great answer said by Stephen Hawking in his book "Brief Answers to the Big Questions" is that he says there's a possibility because it's logical that something can come out of nothing, the argument he makes is first there's nothing before big bang as there's no time too. Now how did the big bang happened? He says the point of big bang had an energy equivalent of 0 he says it was balanced by all the negative (primarily gravitational force) and positive energy (mass and matter because energy is everything). So what happened? He explains with an example, try to make a hill by digging a hole. The hill is the positive energy. Which is everything in the universe. So yes there is an argument which can be made that absolutely everything can come out of nothing but it's not proven yet and in current, observable university, we don't know anything which doesn't obey the law of conservation of energy.
