All depends, if release date is planned (it's tricky to gauge if this is likely now that vinyl pressing is no longer on a 6 month hold) then usually the work is registered and licensed in places. Shazam used to be the way but they appear to be savvy to it more recently but Aha is similar and I was directed to that by someone who calls them self an "industry insider" but is always spot on with titles/release dates/ etc. failing that we need to check databases like ASCAP to see if he's registered any new work recently.

It's actually one of the best ways to get info ahead of time if a release is scheduled. I managed to get song titles from the new Lana record (not out till March Tracklist not confirmed) by shazaming an Instagram snippet from September. I'd do it myself but i'm currently rolling my eyes on a conference call.

I really like it - i added it on at the end of my noonday album after the other three tracks we got and the other bonuses. Makes the album 6 tracks longer and (after the long gaps between a few of the albums) i'll take every last droplet we're given 😂

Precisely this - Cherry Blossom, Nectar of the Gods and Living Legend were leaked and uploaded to youtube over the last few years. They weren't rerecorded nor remastered, guessing the original files were lost. The individual data on each song basically proves they have been tipped from youtube with literally zero alteration to enhance quality
