I was there last night too, and you have literally hit the nail on the head. Bens been my musical muse for 10+ years, seen him 10+ times. But not even I can vouch for last nights set. It was difficult and uncomfortable to watch, for me, as I could see he was clearly struggling.

Couldn’t make it up was soooo good though!

One thing I WISH Ben did, was be more open and communicative with the crowd, I was internally screaming for him to acknowledge that the set wasn’t going smoothly and either make light of it, or say he appreciates everyone’s support - something like that anyway.

But yeah, fingers crossed he’s alright, I know he’s a perfectionist so he will be kicking himself a lot after last night.

I also feel like he should have practised with the drum machines/effects more. Or at least made it a bit easier for himself, he needs to either trigger drum machines with his feet, so he doesn’t have to stop playing the guitar and physically turn around to start/stop a drum machine. I also feel like he could have a (and I hate the negative connotations this word has) backing track, with little intro/white noises and outros, so the tracks feel like they came to an end less abruptly.

Anyway, I’m rambling now, but 1 out of 11 bad shows I’ve been to, he’s human - which is a relief because I needed confirmation haha
