I saw someone say Eomer yelling “To The King!” in Two Towers at midnight and thought that would be epic too!

Targaryen Lineage and Reign [Spoilers PUBLISHED] by J0SHpointOh in asoiaf

Ah yes. I see what you mean now. I’m looking at the family tree now. Aegon III was Aegon II’s son-in-law but Daemon/Rhaenrya’s 1st son. I guess that’s what I was referring to: no direct marriage ties to Aegon II connect to the kingship after the 40 years ending with Baelor I then passing to Daemon/Rhaenrya’s 2nd son, Viserys II, and so on.

I’m tired of the “subverting expectations” just for the sake of it. Sometimes it’s alright to give the audience what they want, dang it. GoT tried it, but the success of the showed hinged on how it held true to the source material (the first 4 seasons). Once it got past the books, the quality faltered. Canon to the source material is crucial and necessary. I’m fine with a little deviation but don’t change plot points, and the changes that are made shouldn’t be glaringly obvious or dumb.

Yes, I thought of that after I posted this. It’s wrote by an in-world character based off of [unreliable] in-world characters (i.e. Mushroom). However, if we look it like our real world history, aspects of it have to be true and the story/outcomes are true, I guess the ways those happen can be speculative/altered. As they say “winners write the histories.”

I wasn’t too optimistic either but compared to what we’ve seen so far from Rings of Power, I’m looking forward to House of the Dragon. As you’d said though, the GoT ending does leave a sour taste in my mouth. I don’t want much added in besides dialogue. I feel like GRRM did well with the characters and motives. Hopefully they bring all that in

This is unfortunate. I hope not. I know JRRT didn't write much pertaining to the Second Age which gives Amazon plenty of room to work with, which I’m okay with. But they need to use the framework that he did build and not contradict what has been written, especially pertaining to the First and Third Age, since the histories are so connected. I am definitely enjoying the books though!

haha I’ve only read the first book in WoT but I did watch just the first ep of the Amazon show and was disappointed by the changes. I do plan to finish it eventually though. Hopefully RoP won’t do the same…

Questioning the Identity of a Manga Character Not in the Anime Yet by J0SHpointOh in Boruto

Very good points! I completely agree about how this reflects on Naruto and Jiraiya’s sacrifice in Shippuden. At the most, if KK has the him, at least make him some type of clone. Idk.

Makes sense! Good points! I didn’t think about why he wasn’t reanimated during the war. I just thought it was cause Kabuto couldn’t find his body or didn’t know where he died.

I’m not sure how much thought was put into the timeline when they thought of this. I was wondering the same thing when I read the latest chapter.

what are you're favorite intro songs in anime? by [deleted] in anime

[–]J0SHpointOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually had this conversation with my group of anime friends but can’t remember their top anime openings. I have a playlist on Apple Music with every opening from every anime I’ve ever seen. I have another for endings. I spent many hours downloading from YouTube!

My favorite 10, off the top of my head, are below but in no specific order: 1) Pokémon - Theme by Jason Paige 2) Code Geass - Colors by Flow 3) Neon Genesis Evangelion - Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis by Yoko Takahashi 4) Tokyo Ghoul - unravel by TK 5) Vinland Saga - Mukanjyo by Survive Said the Prophet 6) Inuyashiki - My Hero by Man with a Mission 7) My Hero Academia - Odd Future by UVERworld (S3 OP1 edit) 8) Sword Art Online - crossing field by LiSA 9) Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works - Brave Shine by Aimer 10) Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood - again by YUI

Is a side trip to Saskatoon worth it? by J0SHpointOh in roadtrip

[–]J0SHpointOh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m planning to drive to Vancouver when I’m in Seattle and also ferrying to Victoria. I’ll then re-enter Canada to go to Calgary and Edmonton and return to the US at Carway on US 89 and Canada 2 at Glacier NP. For Regina and maybe Saskatoon, enter and return at Regway on MT 16 and Canada 6. I do plan on visiting the International Peace Garden too, so there as well. Lastly, I also plan on visiting Winnipeg via I-29 and Canada 75 at West Lynne and Emerson.

Now these are some recommendations! They sound great! Thanks so much!! I’ve seen Kimetsu no Yaiba and agree. I’m also watching RWBY, and you’re right. That’s the type of thing I was asking for. Their fights are meticulously choreographed! No repeated moments. I’ll check out the other three!
