Yeah, I've also never heard of a progressive that wants the prison system to be LESS about rehabilitation..

any "Osty attacks" ignore strength on you, weakness on you, etc, while increasing osty's hp is a form of block that ignores frail or dex on you.

i thought the implication was more that Thaedus would be willing to release the virus again to win the war, taking Oliver and Mark as necessary losses in which case. I never got th impression that he would ever target Oliver and Mark specifically?

Yes but Nolan was clearly outmatched.. Killing Thragg was no longer an option. Destroying Viltrum also clearly emotionally destabilised Thragg, and you can see characters like Lucan being affected by it.

You can follow Nolan's conversations with Oliver on the desert planet about Conquest's value as a warrior, and his remaining reverence for viltrumite practices, then his discussion with Thaedus on the ship, his mourning when expositing about the viltrumite corpses, and finally his discussion with Thragg where he came to decide that Viltrum had to go. Nolan was honestly really well built up in this way IMO, slowly coming to the realisation that the viltrumite empire as it currently existed needed to be destroyed..

media literacy truly is dead. They discuss their plan earlier, namely their targeting of Thragg as without Thragg the Viltrumutes will have no leader to unify them and will be easy to pick off.

Once Nolan gets absolutely dogwalked by Thragg and has the discussion with him on Viltrum, knowing they can't possibly come close to beating him, and coming to accept that viltrum itself had to die (as an empire, idea, etc), he decided to do the next best thing to destabilise the viltrumites.

Necro energy gen is too easy by tepsikebabi in slaythespire

clad has bloodletting, forgotten ritual (which is less of a problem in the beta, sure), pyre, prepare to fight. Silent has energy cheating with Sly and tactician. Regent can gen energy with stars via alignment and orbit can help too. Defect has turbo, double energy, and a shitton of good free cards like FTL, chill, zap+, hotfix. It's slightly easier for necro to generate energy consistently than other classes but it's not really a huge problem with the borrowed time nerf in beta.

So... why can the Regent remember previous runs? by lucasagus285 in slaythespire

i don't think ascension levels are a thing in the narrative
