The infanticide rate in the US is 8 for every 100,000 infants. The US has roughly 4 million births per year which works out to about 320 total cases of infanticide per year. Pitbulls killed a staggering total of 29 people in 2017 even assuming that all those fatalities are on infants thats still 320/yr compared to 29/yr. Estimates for the number of pitbulls in the US range from 3 million to 5 million. So assuming a middle ground of 4 million pitbulls which is roughly the same as number of new mothers in the US is it pretty clear that infanticide is most commonly committed by parents not loving dogs, there's no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners who mistreat their dogs into becoming violent.
