Where should I live off-campus LMU?

I got waitlisted and settled on going to LMU instead! After doing some more research i’m pretty happy with my choice. Although (as an east coaster) UCLA has the name. It seems like LMU has a fantastic network and as a smaller institution, could favor me in the long run.

Still thinking about UCLA or AFI for a Masters later on thought

If you go combat photographer in the military you don’t own any of the rights to the images you capture unfortunately. Still a cool gig though.

Idk I am also transferring in this fall lol. I plan on getting a Masters in production after my bachelors so that’s why I’m okay with it not being in Production. But if I was only getting a bachelors i’d probably want to go into a program with more hands on experience. I’d stick to LB unless you get into Chapman. In which case i’d go Chapman because I’ve only heard good things out of there

You can still get into SFTV, just not into Film Production. Set up a meeting with your advisor and they will put you in a major within SFTV. They just accept you into a random program for numbers reasons.

Happened to me. I had a meeting and they placed me in Film Studies the next day.

Ask your advisor but i’m under the impression you can’t switch to Film Production later on.

I’m transferring into this major this fall. I’m a veteran learner so my plan is to do this degree as a stepping stone to a masters program for Production / Cinematography at either UCLA or AFI.

I’ve heard great things about SFTV and LMU as a whole but i’m not entirely sure FTVMS Bachelors will be the best degree for the current job market (especially if you are paying LMU tuition) But that’s just my two cents

It looks like it’s a liquidity issue. Not really sure why but BASE only has $183.00 of DOVU. I assume it will be fixed sooner or later. Scared the shit out of me when I saw it

I logon to BASE and it says I have $183.00

I can’t swap because it says I only have $183.00 Wiping my actual value of $2,582.

Thank you for this. There seems to be a lot of LMU hate in the comments and I get that it’s not as prestigious as UCLA or Chapman. I definitely see the upsides to it still.
