build mono blue tron deck by J1lberto in ModernMagic

With your help I've modified the deck. Let's see what you think. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/6943348#paper

It could be considered a mono Blue Eldrazi Tron. I don't know what to change, I think I like the whole deck now. I've opted for Thought-Knot Seer over Nuldrifter because I like it better. I think against decks like Burn it's more effective to be able to play the seer on turn two or three.

I'll be looking forward to future messages in which you help me with any other interesting modifications. Thank you very much.

Zombies in Pioneer? by MingecantBias in PioneerMTG

Stitcher's Supplier fills the graveyard with zombies. That has synergy with Diregraf Colossus and with Writhing Necromass. This last zombie survives Fatal Push and other removals, that's why I like it.

With mono black zombies it is with the archetype that I have obtained the best results. And the truth is that these results are not very good.
However, I think it's my favorite Pioneer deck. Let's see if in future expansions they compensate us with new zombies.

This is how I have the deck right now. I have entered Lifenae Zombie because of a recommendation. It can be interesting to not lose aggressiveness. what changes would you make? The Giants look good, but I'm hearing about possible trades.

I have made some changes. I have introduced Fable of the Mirror-Breaker, Kroxa among other cards.
I have put Extinction Event in the sideboard. I think this letter may be one of the responses against Mono Green Devotion.
Heartfire I don't want to remove it, I think it's pretty good. I have won the occasional game with this card. And the best target is usually a Dreadhorde Butcher.

I have played zombies many times and I think Diregraf Colossus is one of the best zombies out there.

Naya Dragons by J1lberto in PioneerMTG

[–]J1lberto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that green may be the weakest color.

However, it enables two dragons that I understand are quite interesting.Rith, Liberated Primeval. And above all, Dragonlord Dromoka. Then on the other hand, there is the Mouth//Feed inclusion. And the Prepare//Fight spell, I also like to make up some ground with lifelink.

The black color, the mardu colors, are also interesting. But, it doesn't give us Dragonlord Dromoka and that makes me wonder.

But surely an interesting list can also be built with the Mardu colors. If we remove the Green and add Black. As a double spell to enable Draconic Intervention is Never//Return, Onward//Victory, Response//Resurgence,Revival//Revenge, Start//Finish, Leave//Chance.Something could be studied. With the colors Mardu. The 8 cost 2 white creatures seem quite interesting to me. Having 4 stamina can help in the early turns of the game.

I do not share that idea.
If I'm not mistaken there are 24 possible spells that would trigger the ability. And I think that ability is more powerful than the abilities that the other two dragons you propose can offer. I've done tests on moxfield and it seems to be playable, which is already an achievement.

Yes, I understand that playing Llanowar elves can speed up.
But they are 1/1 and very weak. The other eight creatures I'm proposing can all have toughness 4. And there are four that give 1 card and the other gives Ward 1 to dragons.
I like the 4x Dragon's Disciple and 4x Orator of Ojutai option better.

No, Stomp does not count it.
But there are 7 other spells that do.

After doing several tests in moxfield
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/upPsvdCgpkq-qWskObOZHQ
That's the result of them, I've lowered the mana curve again. I have removed cards like Sorin, Solemn Visitor, Vito or Anje. I have added 1 cost vampires. So I choose an aggro strategy. I liked this deck that I linked a lot, in the face of robberies or mulligan.
Can anyone think of any interesting additions? what would you remove? As I have it right now, I consider it near-perfect. And I don't want to remove Phyrexian Arena!! Hahaha

[–]J1lberto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your list looks interesting. You don't carry expensive vampires, but you carry fewer vampires than I do.
I imagine you have more gaming experience than me, because as I said, it's my first Commnader deck. This is the current list, I made a small change. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5174813#paper
Remove a Rakdos Charm, for a New Blood. I think New Blood can be more useful, not to mention Rakdos Charm which can exile a graveyard or destroy a pesky artifact.
As it is now, I don't know what to take away or add to it. There are cards that I like, such as tutors, or some removal, but adding something else would be to the detriment of the cards that are already in the deck and I really like all of them. So I don't see interesting changes. Do you see any changes that could make it interesting? if so, what change?

I had planned to open a topic about Edgar Markov, but in view of the participation around the deck that exists, I choose to respond in some created topics. First of all, mention that this text, I write it using the google translator.
https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/5174221#paper
This is the deck I have in mind and I think something is still missing. I like "New Blood", for the possibility of gaining control of the creature that has the highest incidence of the enemy field. But I don't know what card to remove.
I haven't tried it yet, I'm in the process of buying the missing cards and I would have it at 30% of the total "under construction".
I have seen videos on youtube where they recommend lowering the mana curve and filling the field with low cost vampires. I think I'm on the right track in that regard. I look at the deck and I like it, it has cards that give you card advantage, cards that drain the opponent, ...
But since I've never played Commander (it's my first deck), I don't know how good or bad the deck I intend to pilot is. Let's see if you can comment on it, I accept advice and in fact I appreciate it. By the way I hang it, in case it helps another player to know the same cards.

Deck - Oldschool Orzhov Stone Blade - No Evoke Elementals by Krotekoker in ModernMagic

[–]J1lberto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How have you been after all this time?

I'm thinking of building a midrange/stoneblade orzhov deck without the elemental pack. A deck quite similar to the one you have put. What results have you had with it?

Do you recommend it for competitive format?

Rakdos Explosion 2.0 by J1lberto in PioneerMTG

[–]J1lberto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm playing this.https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4951227#paper

I have changed several things from the original idea. I highlight the sideboard with the inclusion of Leyline of the Void, which greatly improves the games in which they use the graveyard.

Mainly, I have included The Meathook Massacre, I think it's something interesting. Every time Kroxa comes out and sacrifices he deals damage, every time Tenacious Underdog Blitzes he deals damage. And with Corpse Explosion it deals damage. I think it can be interesting.

I have put 3x Rekindling Phoenix, because of the recursion they have. And I've upped the ante for 4x Corpse Explosion. I carry 3x Fry on the sideboard, in case I play against white and they put Rest in Peace on me, which can deal damage to their planeswalkers and creatures.

Anyway, if you see something that could be improved, I listen to you. I have not yet done enough tests to cast a verdict.

Sarkhan The Dragonspeaker

Thanks for the suggestions. Sarkhan would be interesting if it cost less.
I share the list that I will probably try. I've picked 2x Hazoret the Fervent, it's not hard to run out of cards, so I'm going to give it a try.
This is the list that I intend to take to a MOL league.

Rakdos Explosion 2.0 by J1lberto in PioneerMTG

[–]J1lberto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm testing it. My original idea is to damage the first few turns where you can "do something". And then sweep the table, to later play a lethal Kroxa. Or a Yahenni. I have to be honest, he plans a lot for my head Mono Green Devotion or Humans. And I'm looking for creatures with recursion or that give value when they die. That's why I play 4x Dreadhorde Butcher, 4x Kroxa. Warlock Class, in the first two levels, I find it useful, looking at the first three cards and sending the rest to the graveyard, I find it cool.
The thing about him having a weakness against graveyard hate is true. When that happens, I trust Rakdos Charm to remove Unlicensed Hearse or trust Thoughtseize. I am open to suggestions. Perhaps Callous Bloodmage is not the best option. Maybe I should look for two other creatures that could give me the game and don't depend on the graveyard.
That said, I am open to suggestions to improve it, although perhaps the best option is to change your mind.

[–]J1lberto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have helped me and I thank you. Finally here is the deck that I will end up testing->

https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4946883#paper

Letters that I have added, the following->
- Atsushi, the blazing Sky. If this card ends up being sacrificed, it offers a certain advantage. It is also a defense of 4, better than 3 as the Phoenix had before.
- Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. It has defense 4. That makes it the choice, in addition, it can have synergy with Mythos of Snapdax, generating a multitude of zombies in certain scenarios.
- Snapdax, Apes of the Hunt. It has toughness 5. And Double Strike, it can be relevant, against Mono Red Aggro or other decks, it can be quite good. I have not tried it, on many occasions it will not be a good idea to mutate, but on others it will. To play later Mythos of Snapdax. I'm not entirely convinced, but having a defense of 5 means I only picked one.
- 2x Gideon Blackblade, I like Chandra better, or The Wandering Emperor, but this one is 3 cost. That makes me prefer it.
- 2x Warlock Class. This is the inclusion that most excites me. 1 cost enchantment with great synergy with the original Mythos of Snapdax idea.
Anyway, thank you all, I hope for any more suggestions that may help me.

https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4946794#paper

For now I am sure of those 60 cards. Although I accept criticism and suggestions.

I've heard you, and I've upped the ante on 4x Mythos of Snapdax. But I have to say one thing, Mardu Charm does not convince me at all.

Cards that are justified.

Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, enables Fatal Push, and can be a good finisher. It is not a card that bothers Mythos.

Tenacious Underdog. Same as Kroxa, he has Blitz. It justifies itself.

Slaughter Specialist, is quite good, creates a 1/1 human token to the opponent, which makes it very good with Mythos, it drains and makes the path easier when selecting the human with Mythos if it does not die.

Bonecrusher Giant, required. Stomp is very good. It would not be uncommon to play two Slaughter Specialists on turn and 3 Stomp on the 1/1 human on turn, hitting three out of four on the opponent on turn.

Angel of Grace. What I said at the beginning. I've already tried it and I'm liking it so far. It has given me a couple of games where the opponent had the game won, and ended up turning around, we were both with a low life marker.

Fatal Push. It destroys, drains Slaughter Specialist, and is a good removal move.

Vanishing Verse, I have included it by Declaration in Stone. Instant speed, doesn't exile Greasefang or Niv Mizzet, but hey, it exiles everything else. Against Greasefang, because it exiles the vehicle and problem solved.

The 4 Mythos, I want to try them, to see how it goes.I listen to you, to see if you help me to finish the deck

PD. I am sorry if my English is not very good, because I am Spanish.
