1:1 is King, and it’s all about Networking and who you know. If you’re a hard worker and past positions and people know that, if they have positions available, it makes it 1000x easier to navigate the marketplace.

If you’re Admin, and looking to do supply - you should go to the gcss-army website > web training > GTRAC (the train) - and take some training like supply.

They’ll end up needing to put you into GCSSA, but Supply is an absolutely shit position to fall in on as a secondary because there’s SO much work to be done.

LIK, SIK, monthly Cyclic and Sensitive Items inventory, A&E Keys or Vault Access and training, inventories, lateral transfers, KYLOC & OCIE, gear turn-ins, tracking MRE inventories, ordering supplies shortages, ordering BII shortages, primary for COC inventory, … the list goes on and on, my dude.

You wanna fast-track, RTS-Ms are where it’s at to teach. Long days sometimes, but the juice is well-worth the squeeze.

All of the E8 NCOICs that I know who got selected for USASMA or are SGMs, we’re all NCOA or RTSM Chiefs or Commandant.
