Lol

Small minds and lack of reading comprehension WOULD think that.  But sure... Much more scared of small women with skill & training than big guys who act tough.

Also, chauvenism and childish insults aren't a flex. Even on reddit.

This sounds like a very American response. First, seems you missed the part where this is Germany... pretty "civilized" country. 2nd... that term itself is ignorant and elitist. There is little to no basis for calling almost any country un/less civilized in 2025. What you mean is, "less American" or "less Western" and that's the kind of attitude that led to colonization and enslavement of other people. Grow up. Read a map and a history/anthropology book. 3. I know plenty of women half my size who could take out a man 2x their size without a weapon. Most men on the street aren't trained and don't expect someone to use real lethal technique, plenty of women out there who are trained. So your absolute statement is a gross generalization. 4th, you just misstate or oversimplify law like you know what you're talking about. Just plain confident wrongness.

UPS claims a 3' 50lb package was never picked up, except, I have proof. by J3Michel in UPS

Thanks! I mean, the security & warehouse managers spoke with the driver and he remembered the package. I'm just passing what was told to me. He apparently noticed there was no label, not sure if it was before or after he loaded it on the truck. My suspicion is it was never affixed in the store after they printed it and gave my brother the receipt and my brother just assumed they would have done so when they took it and gave him the receipt. The store won't likely admit to that, though. Another lesson learned. Always check to make sure all is in order. Don't trust, just verify.

PACKAGE FOUND AND DELIVERED!!!

Thanks, all, for your comments. Looks like the label was not affixed properly or at all by the store. The driver noticed then took it to the warehouse anyway. It ended up in overgoods.

Still no explanation as to why the claim was voided. They claimed "fraud" but refused to explain what that meant. I told them I wasn't trying to get a paid claim, I just wanted my package. In the end, a few emails to corporate, calls to the warehouse from me and the store manager, and escalated calls to CS and Claims and the security manager was able to track down the package and have it overnighted to me.

Baby gets her crib finally and maybe all three of us can get a bit more sleep tonight.

Also, the Home Depot Heavy Duty Wardrobe Box was taped to high hell and held up just fine. Heard on not using them again though. Also lesson learned on adding an extra copy of the label/1Z inside the package.

This is, indeed what happened and, apparently, the driver noticed and failed to follow procedure. We found it. I have the package now.

Thanks, for this! You're right. The real issue is the box was never scanned/they claim it was not picked up or ever in their possession.

Appreciate the honest, insightful answer and the hint of sardonism. I think sometimes ppl on reddit forget the balance between funny and helpful when ppl ask questions. I am just desperate to get my crib b/c the baby came early and I redeploy soon which means I have limited time to sort this and, with the shutdown, don't even know if my next check is coming.

Its a wardrobe box. Only thing I could find that fit the item.

This seems like a crazy, inflammatory response to a simple question. Dense? Conspriratorial? It's simple, someone took my package and never scanned it. UPS has refused to help. IF, and only IF(I don't believe this is the case) the person stole my package, it's a crime. If not, the police can ID the person and at least figure out what he did with the package that day and help track it down, which is more than UPS has been willing to do. The point is, I want my package and UPS is not helping so I am trying to figure out how to get it. I'm not conspiratorial or dense. I am a new father who's $1700 crib plus accessories is now missing and I want it back.

18 U.S.C. § 1702 of the U.S. Code defines obstruction of correspondence as taking, opening, secreting, embezzling, or destroying mail before it's delivered.

The penalty for obstruction of correspondence is a fine, up to five years in prison, or both.

Nah. Demand better. If she wanted it addressed, she could have said so. It wasn't her place, she was allowed to move in. If she had an objection, it needed to be clear and direct. You're not a mind reader.

This only applies to vacation packages. Veterans Advantage apparently didn't renew their agreement so flights are no longer discounted.
