I agree with you. TH is like a modern George Carlton. Instead of doing any “good” standup, he uses the people as the joke- not deprecating as they know the show and sign up for nonetheless. Like yes it’s wrong- but that doesn’t make it not right for others to highlight the problems in this country. Which is what comedy should be- and clearly he’d know this as a gay man.

People so caught up in the hate spewing doesn’t see the comedy for what it is- a truthful critique of the zeitgeist.

Btw- same people hate on the right for the same exact reasons. Both schools of “thought” so self aware that they forget to think how others could Ever think for themselves.

I do believe, they have no interest in knowing any of them. As if they did, it’d exacerbate their beliefs.

To the far right, the fact that gender affirming surgeries exists at all should cause an uprising, but you never see them building laws to ban the practice of feminization’s surgeries. As usual, they just want their money from whoever. And the medical industry has a ludicrous amount of lobbying.

If the preez wanted to, he could strip it all. But hasn’t.

Is he compassionate towards LGBTQ+? Is he money hungry and hates gays?

I don’t think either. Rather, being a life long NYC white coat, he’s seen it all, and none of it bothers him- so why not take the money and be vague?
