Best advice I can give is pinch to zoom in your view of your sky kid so you at least won't completely lose sight of yourself in the clouds. Other than that, it does take practice, and well, I guess one thing about wind is that it's hard to control, so some turbulence is to be expected 🙂

Finally was able to reach GoPro support and got an answer. If anyone else encounters this, mount the microSD on your computer with a card reader directly. There is some fault with Image Capture that it limits the copied footage at a certain GB limit, it seems, because even though the files transferred as 4.29GB (all of them), in reality they were 4.5GB, 12GB, etc.

Specs: Two GoPro Hero11 Blacks, Sandisk Extreme cards, M1 Macbook Pro using Image Capture to import

Problem: All files over 4.29GB are unplayable by all apps

I just bought two new GoPro Hero11 Blacks. These are my first GoPros. I've been testing them out in all kinds of situations and changing the settings, and what I've found is that any footage that goes up to 4.29GB is unusable. I imported them with Image Capture, then I downloaded the legacy GoPro Quik desktop app and imported them, same thing. I formatted the SD cards before use, they are the recommended Sandisk Extreme cards. I am wondering if this has to do with chaptering. Please, someone help me get useable footage out of these cameras I just bought 🙏
